1. Explain photosynthesis and its importance.


2. Explain the process of photosynthesis.

Components and process of photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is the process for plants to produce their own food.

Observing, classifying, inferring and communicating.

C. Materials:
 Picture/ diagram of the photosynthesis
 Laptop
 Projector
 TV Monitor
 Speaker
 Textbook

 Photosynthesis
 Stomata
 Chlorophyll
 Chloroplast
 Carbon dioxide
 Oxygen
 Carbohydrate

III. Procedure:

A. Preparatory Activities:
1. Motivation – teach a new song
2. Introduce the topic through contextualization

B. Presentation:
1. Present the key terms
2. Present the definition/ description of each term
3. Discuss the process of photosynthesis (show the diagram)

C. Concept Formation:
1. The teacher explains the process involved in photosynthesis
2. The teacher explains the elements involved in the process.
3. The teacher explains the chemical transformation.

D. Generalization:
Describe the chemical change that occurs during photosynthesis.

E. Application:
Without photosynthesis, there will be no oxygen that humans and animals need to
breath and live.

Read the story of Lydia the Leaf at BigBlueButton.

V. Homework

For next week

1. Search the Internet for the structure of the chloroplast. Capture an image of
chloroplast and indicate its different parts.
2. Bring mongo seeds, a bowl and cotton.
