I am doing the timeline from childhood to adulthood of the character in the scene pregnant, im
using the timeline to explain any relationships, trauma and give more context to the scene.

1. first scene is “work”, in my monologue, I don’t have a great relationship with my mother, I feel
like having this scene at the start could lead us as to why.

2. “singing”, I use this scene to show that my character is more than just a pregnant teen but
someone who has hobbies, talent and dreams even when they were young.

3. “seven”, I include “seven” to show that my character once again didn’t have a great relationship
with her mother (person on the other end of the phone), which also contributes to the fact that she
doesn’t know how to be a mother.

4. “doll”, to create doubt about being a mother as she may reflect on this experience from when she
was younger.

5. “ambulance 1”, this scene shows us that my character (A) got overwhelmed easily and can make
extreme decisions about her own life and therefore may not be able to cope with another.

6. “tweezers”, I once again use this scene because it shows how difficult it really was for A growing
up and what dreams she had to save herself from her situation. Also, to show how the mother was
never really there for her.

7. “pink lemonade”, unstable childhood.

8. “pregnant”

9. “pram”, my character and her friend take the baby out after its first born. Showing that she can't
handle motherhood just like we pre-empted.

10. “love”, I imagine this scene and at this point in the timeline my character would be struggling a
lot and the conversation being between her and the baby's dad, in which she is just shutting him out,
possibly along with everyone else.

11. “night” this could be seen as a milestone between A and her new baby, a moment when they
connect, this could be the first time its happened

12. “hit”, I see this as her coming back to life, her friend or sibling is babysitting, and she goes out
with her partner/ baby's dad and goes back to her old ways but also reconnects with her partner.
Between 11 and 12 on the timeline it brings us hope that maybe she can get past it and be a good
mum, have a good life,

13. “record” putting this scene abit further in the future, so her daughter is older, and she is telling a
friend about how she thinks she's already failed. , I feel like this scene ties in a lot with the story I've
created for my character. After the audience becoming hopeful is shows how she is repeating the
cycle to her daughter of picking men and partying, instead of being a mother.
14. “salt”, this is between my character and her mother finally telling her mum how she really feels
and basically how she doesn’t want to be her kid anymore.

15. “application” my characyer dessides to go back into education like said in a previous scene and
we find out she is pregnant again. At this point I think it is safe to assume she pulled herself together
and built a life for her and her family while also expanding it.
