The two diagrams depict transformations made to a town center from 1836 and currently.

The two diagrams display transformations in the infrastructure of a town

center in 1836 and its present outlook. Generally, since 1836, several
developments have taken place as new constructions have been made, and the
existing structures reconstructed.

Initially, the first map portrays the presence of an inn in the center of the
town, however, in the present map this has been demolished to pave the way
for the construction of Highway 6. Previously, there was a forest covering the
Eastern part of the map, whereas today almost half of it has been cut down. In
addition, a school was constructed in the northeastern part of the town
following the clearing of the forest. Meanwhile, the area located between
North Street and South Street is presently occupied by offices and apartments
replacing the inn and other buildings. Furthermore, the market that was
originally located in the northwest has been replaced by offices.

In 1836, the five blocks that were along River Avenue were knocked down, and
today apartments have been constructed. It can also be seen that no changes
have been made to the streets except the construction of a roundabout which
joins them to the newly constructed Highway 6.
