The student rated their communication skills as proficient based on examples from in-class activities. They felt more comfortable speaking to others after icebreakers like back-to-back drawing. The student can improve by initiating more conversations outside of class, such as answering phone calls at work. They do not feel confident in job interviews as they become anxious speaking to unfamiliar people and struggle to promote their strengths.

Think back to the back-to-back drawing, speed dating, Escape the Boon and the mock interviews. Please reflect on all 3 activities when answering the following questions: Remember to use part of the question in your answer. 1. How would you rate your communication skills? (Extending, Proficient, Developing, Emerging) Why? USE DETAILED EXAMPLES FROM THE ACTIVTITES WE HAVE DONE IN CLASS TO SUPPORT YOUR RATING!!!! I would rate my communication skills a proficient. I think I would be a proficient because I was very shy before and didn’t want to talk to anyone but after the ice breaker games, I have gotten a lot more comfortable, and I even think I might know everyone’s name now. Why or why not? Use detailed examples.

I also think that it would be hard to come up with different things to “sell” myself. I remember in my interview I talked about my experience and
