INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Instruction: 6986817-EN Use the following procedure to install the boom light kit
Product: BOBCAT TELESCOPIC on the Bobcat telescopic handler with the serial numbers
listed above.

Route the wire harness through the conduit (Item 1).
Place the connector (Item 2) near the hose (Item 3) and
measure the distance between the tube exit (Item 4)
[Figure 2] and the connector.

Install the light bulb and connect the black wire (Item 1) to
the ground (Item 2) and the red wire (Item 3) [Figure 8]
to the light bulb.

Install the sleeve (Item 1) on the wire harness. Bare the
two electric wires by 1 cm (0.4 in) and crimp the two
terminals (Item 2) [Figure 10].

Connect the connector to the light. Install the sleeve (Item
1) and tape it to the conduit’s end (Item 2) [Figure 12].
Connect the boom light wire harness (Item 1) to the main
harness (Item 2) which is located near the right rear light.
Secure the main harness (Item 2) to the nearest hose
with tie straps (Item 3) [Figure 14].

Check that all mounting bolts are tight.

Check the working order of the boom light.

Lift the boom to the higher position to check that the

wires are not too tight.

IMPORTANT
Always check for pinching, rubbing or abrading of
wire harnesses. Route away from and use nylon tie
straps to hold the harness away from hot or moving
parts.
