VIENNA, VIRGINIA– Meet Jordan Rice, Vice president of JDA Custom Homes and
how she made the transition from Wall Street of wealth management to designing and building
custom homes with her father, Dennis Rice, in their family business.
Rice resides in Northern Virginia with her rescue dog “Leon” and has enjoyed living in a
small town as opposed to the hustling, bustling culture of New York City. Rice said, “I made the
move from NYC to Virginia to transition from a career on Wall Street doing Wealth
Management for high-net-worth individuals to designing and building custom homes with my
dad in our family business.” Rice and her father Dennis Rice have proved a powerful duo ever
since Rice made the move to the family business back in 2012. It has now been 10+ years since
Rice moved from New York City to Virginia and JDA has been a top custom homes company in

As Vice President of JDA, Rice is responsible for management operations and works
directly with clients in the home design and selection process. More specifically, Rice is
responsible for day-to-day financial management of company assets. Rice partners with business
principles on business development for residential and commercial property acquisitions. Rice
works closely with clients as they build their custom home and oversees property management
for three commercial office buildings in Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Additionally, Rice’s duties and responsibilities and her extensive skill sets is primarily due to her
time at J.P. Morgan where she learned the ins and outs of relationship clientele management.
Rice states, “The start to my career at J.P. Morgan laid the foundation for many skills I would
ultimately hone not only in the banking world but ultimately in the real estate world.” While at
J.P. Morgan, Rice was an Investment and Banking analyst where she was responsible for
providing local business management oversight for markets generating over $125MM in
revenue. Rice has worked with client relationships in both of her careers. Client relationship and
management is integral to banking and real estate as both industries focus on the satisfaction of
the client. While it was not an easy transition from Wall Street to real-estate in Northern Virginia
the skills Rice learned in her five years at J.P. Morgan proved critical to her career. Rice goes on
to say, “While I had to learn the ins and outs of the construction and real estate industry when I
changed career paths, my start in the banking world had helped me develop many important
skills to use in the next phase of my career.” Rice’s opportunity to build up her skillset and
repertoire in one of the most demanding and cutthroat cities in the United States made her more
than prepared to take on the challenge and industry of real estate in Northern Virginia. Those
who know Rice, say that she is persevering, ambitious, and brings excellence to the table.

JDA. Her clients compliment Rice and are blown away by her talents and work ethic. Brian and
Kristen, former clients of Rice had this to say about her: “We had weekly (or more) check in

were on time and within budget. While it was important for us to take the lead in providing
design ideas, we needed Jordan's impeccable design eye in many of the decisions. Jordan
allowed us to take as much or as little role as we wanted with each decision. We have never met

the competitive real estate world of Northern Virginia. Home design is a challenging process as
customer satisfaction is a primary goal not to mention the competitive custom home contractors
