Welcome to the 2023 staff of Camp Sloane YMCA! I am so excited to have you on
the team this year!

It is a great idea to accept this position: 95% of staff indicate that working at camp
helped them improve critical personal and professional skills that will be career
assets.

We will be sending additional paperwork notifications to the email listed on your

application. This paperwork must be completed and returned no later than April
1st, 2023. Without these forms, we are unable to process your employment. The
additional paperwork will be sent over the next few months so it is important that you
continue to monitor your email account.

Below are some important things to know prior to the summer.

Employment Agreement: Your agreement is available for you to sign on your

online account under the "Forms and Documents" tab. If you haven't done so
already, please make sure that you know how to login to your online
CampInTouch account. This is how we will access all of your paperwork. Please
make sure that all contact and personal information is correct.

FIRST YEAR INTERNATIONAL EMPLOYEES: The CampInTouch account is

different to your agency account (it's the Camp Sloane account). If you are
with Camp Leaders, IENA, Camp America, InterExchange or CCUSA, your
agency will have already set up a CampInTouch account with your email.
You will have to create/retrieve your password.

Please review the contents of your agreement carefully and reply to this email if
you believe anything needs to be changed or if you have questions. Signed
agreements are due back within 10 days of receipt and this is considered
an official commitment to working this summer.

Background Check: We will be running a background check on all American

employees, returning and new. Please make sure to answer all of the background
check questions and your contact information needs to be as up-to-date as
possible. YOUR EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT ON THE RESULTS OF YOUR
BACKGROUND CHECK. International staff are required to upload a copy of their
background check from their home country. Your agency will have required you to
obtain one already. Please upload a copy of that background check to your account
on the "Forms & Documents" tab.

Join the workspace and learn the basics of how it all works. It's pretty easy
to figure out, but watch some of the tutorials and get comfortable with the
commenting features.
Start adding to the themed channels that I will be creating over the next
couple of weeks. Slack will only be awesome if you all make it awesome.

Have fun with it! This is a great chance for you all to start to get to know each
other, share feedback with me and get excited for the summer!

Remember, keep an eye out on the paperwork and training emails that will be
coming. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesistate to ask!
