Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Years of Experience: 10 year(s) of demonstrated progression in roles leading IT architecture and
engineering designs and domains; Minimum 5 years of experience building cloud applications on public cloud
infrastructure.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in Product
Engineering design recommendations, including the following areas:
o Having thought leader level knowledge in architectural design and application delivery in technologies that
include, but are not limited to cloud, mobile, web, APIs/microservices, automation, continuous
integration/continuous deployment, AI/ML and emerging technologies;
o Evaluating cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation,
deployment, and provisioning applications;
o Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications;
o Leading complex efforts within established Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies
(SCRUM, kanban, SAFe and others);
o Leading architectural and engineering reviews of proposed product engineering investments/solutions to
determine the strategic alignment and technical soundness;
o Taking products from concept to implementation with multiple customers;
o Architecting and deploying secure and robust applications in a cloud infrastructure;
o Having thought leader level knowledge of MEAN stack, Hybrid Mobile Apps using Ionic that can scale to
millions of users;
o Leading complex efforts within established Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies
(SCRUM, kanban, SAFe and others);
o Leading architectural and engineering reviews of proposed product engineering investments/solutions to
determine the strategic alignment and technical soundness;
o Providing seasoned advice on application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design,
development, resolution of technical issues, and application rationalization; and,
o Providing architectural and technical direction to multiple products simultaneously.
Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:
o Working on multiple high priority initiatives with external customers and stakeholders;
o Forecasting resource utilization and capacity and establishing and maintaining a planning process to forecast
project timelines and identify additional resource requirements;
o Fostering and maintaining partnerships with product teams and collaborating to provide technical input to
steer product strategy;
o Using business acumen to interpret and translate goals into technical specifications, delivering thought-
leadership of specific technologies, and driving technology change;
o Advising and influencing leaders on trends that could potentially affect the success of a function or business
area;
o Assembling concepts and communications appropriate for specific audiences at all staff levels within the firm
and with customers;
o Using business and interpersonal skills to build, maintain and influence relationships with senior leaders in IT
and throughout a business;
o Building trusting and influential relationships at all levels and engaging with vendors and third parties;
o Understanding emerging technologies to market these technologies to business leadership and convey
possibilities for new ways of working;
o Promoting a culture of innovation by continuously seeking opportunities for improvement within role,
processes, team and the organisation as a whole; and,
o Working with global teams with mix of company and vendor resources.
