Lesson Plan for 6

I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
A. Identify the characteristic of the terrestrial planets.
B. Differentiate the characteristic of the terrestrial planets.
C. Construct a model of terrestrial planets of the solar system, to show their relative size and
relative distances.
II. Subject Matter:

IV. Procedure:
A. Routine
 Prayer
 Greet the pupils (Good Morning/Afternoon)
 Energizer / Warm-up song
 Checking of attendance

B. Activity
 Title of activity: Who Am I Planet?
 Instruction: The pupils will divide into two groups. Then each of the group will
discuss and share the clue cards about their planet identity. And each group will
choose one representative to be assumed as a "secret identity" (a planet) and
present it in the hole class without stating the name of the planet and the other
group must guess the clues to identify the "secret identity" of the other group.

C. Analysis
*The teacher will ask the following questions to process the activity.
1. Did you enjoy the activity?
2. How many planets in our solar system?
3. What are those planets?

D. Abstract
*The teacher will present the lesson.
*The teacher will discuss the characteristics of Terrestrial planets.
*The teacher will ask the following questions to facilitate participation from the
pupils.
1. What are the terrestrial planets?
2. What are the characteristics of the inner planets?
3. In what ways are the terrestrial planets similar and different?

E. Application
 Instruction: The pupils will group into 4 groups; they will differentiate the
characteristics of planets discussed in this lesson. In a ½ manila paper they
should copy the chart that flash in the projector and fill out with the needed
information. And after they fill out, the groups will choose one representative to
present their presentation with the entire class. And lastly the teacher will ask the
pupils of what are their similarities and differences among the terrestrial planets?

V. Assessment
 Instruction: In the same group. Construct a model of terrestrial planets of the solar system

VI. Assignment
INDETIFICATION
*In their assignment note book the pupils will copy and answer the questions that flash in the
projector.
