Singing and Music Composition for Geet Dnyaneshwari

After passing out from IIT Bombay in 1992, Dinesh Katre came to Pune
Geet Dnyaneshwari – A Musical
Performance at Crescent Village, San to join C-DAC. During 1994-1998 he formally trained in Hindusthani
Jose / Bay Area, US, 9th May, 2023 classical vocal singing under the guidance of Duttoba Bhope Guru Ji at
Bharat Gayan Samaaj, Dr. Pansare and Daithankar Guru Ji for almost 4
years until he got totally busy with professional responsibilities.
Thereafter, he and his son Paritosh together have engaged in music
composition and singing for putting together an experimental
programme on Geet Dnyaneshwari which is meant to popularize the
13th century philosophy and poetry by Saint Dnyaneshwar. Their
music compositions are a sweet spot formed by the fusion of
Hindusthani Classical Ragas and Western Chords Music. So far, they
both have sung, composed and performed around 50 songs for Geet
Felicitation by Indian Diaspora Dnyaneshwari.
