ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIALS: HOW TO DRAW A TRIANGLE

BACKGROUND
Hello everyone! Today we have a new Adobe Illustrator tutorial for the very beginners. We will draw an abstract
background of the most ordinary triangles. And so that the work on the illustration was not long and tedious, some
tricks and useful scripts are used in the process of creating the background.

Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator will be enough to complete this tutorial. If you have any questions, or some
aspects of the lesson are not entirely clear, then you can refer to the sections of the course "Learn Adobe Illustrator in
30 days!" ... You can also take an online consultation on Adobe Illustrator via Skype, or take training in the Adobe
Illustrator Video course for beginners.

Adobe Illustrator version: any Draw triangles Using the Polygon Tool, left-click on the workspace and set the
triangle parameters. And we get his darling :) Now move the triangle to the upper left corner. Then you need to grab this
triangle with the left mouse button, while holding down the Alt key on the keyboard, and drag it to the right by a
distance equal to the width of the triangle to get a copy of it. If you have Smart Guides enabled (Ctrl + U) , then this will
be very easy. Illustrator himself will correct your movements, giving useful hints for object displacement and fixing the
moments of intersection of extreme points.
After you copy the triangle, just hold down the Ctrl + D keys to repeat this action. By pressing Ctrl + D several times,
you will quickly and easily make a series of triangles to the end of the work area. Next, make another copy of the
triangle, and turn it upside down. After that, the triangle needs to be placed in the empty space between the triangles
we made earlier. Similarly with the previous example, copy the triangle to the right and, using Ctrl + D , continue
copying to the end of the work area. Now you need to select all the triangles and, moving them down with
the Alt key pressed
, make a copy of the entire row. You need to move, respectively, at a distance equal to the height of the triangle. Then
immediately press the right mouse button to bring up the context menu. Choose Transform> Reflect . In the window
that appears, set the reflection parameters as in the picture below and click OK. Next, select both rows with triangles
and copy them even lower by analogy with the previous examples. Having made one copy, you can again use Ctrl + D to
fill the entire work area with triangles. The background of triangles is completely built. It remains to decorate

it. Working with color Now it's time to experiment! Select all the triangles, turn off their strokes and fill
them with any color you like.
To add some variety to the main color we need the Vary Hues script . You can find it here: wundes.com

If you have the script installed, just run it via File> Scripts . Otherwise, the script must be downloaded and installed, or
run without installation via File> Scripts> Other Script ... Having executed this command, it will be enough to open the
script file on your computer to run it. A script window will immediately appear, where you can set various parameters for
randomly changing the color of the fill or stroke, and even transparency. I installed 20. And this is what happened as a

result. The triangle background is ready! Cropping an illustration

There is nothing left. It is necessary to remove all elements protruding beyond the boundaries of the work area. This can
be done simply by hiding them with a Clipping Mask . If you really want to cut off all the protruding parts, then this can
be done automatically using the Magic Eraser script . Novel aka dacascas specially for the blog Notes of a microstock
