Guia 4 Instrume Industrial
Guia 4 Instrume Industrial
ACADEMIC PERIOD O
SEMESTER: VIII SEMESTER
JUSTIFICATION:
The industry is stuck to industrial processes where automation is the end of them.
Therefore, it is necessary to correctly apply the necessary instruments to measure
non-electrical variables such as temperature, pressure, speed, flow, density, pH,
etc. But it is not only enough to measure the variables already related but it is
necessary to condition them and transmit them to control centers, controllers, in
order to exercise control over some process variables that are of special interest.
OBJECTIVES:
- To know the basic control systems used at industrial level.
- To determine the necessary parameters for the adequacy of physical signals.
- To know and determine the operation of transducers and sensors used in
automation.
- Identify the design of circuits for signal control.
- Identify elements that are part of automatic control systems.CONTENIDOS:
Weeks 10 to 12: Signal Conditioning. Signal conditioning for resistive sensors, for
voltage generating sensors. Operational amplifiers. A/D and D/A converters.
Weeks 13 to 14: Industrial Process Controllers. ON-OFF Control, Proportional
Control, Integral Proportional Control, Proportional - Integral - Derivative Control
(PID).
EXTRATUTORIAL ACTIVITIES:
In the work done before the face-to-face tutorial meeting, the student will have to
carry out a series of reading activities and appropriation of knowledge through the,
consultation of the texts of the bibliography, both the guide text and the
complementary ones, according to the subject and to what is indicated in each one
of the guides of the course that the student will have to possess at the beginning of
the semester. Additionally, as a complement to the readings and research work, the
student will have to solve the questions that each guide has as he/she advances in
the course agenda, as a measure of reinforcement of the acquired knowledge.
In order for the student to begin to appropriate the knowledge and achieve the
objectives of the course, there are some basic key activities that must be performed
and maintained throughout the academic semester, such as:
Reading and appropriation of knowledge:
Among the first activities to be developed in any educational process is reading and study,
the basis for the construction of knowledge, for this the student must have the basic
bibliography delivered by the University especially the guide text and, through access to
libraries and Internet consult complementary documents and the bibliography
recommended in the guides to achieve the objectives.
Meeting by "CIPAS".
In this activity the student must socialize his/her own knowledge and that of his/her
classmates, with the objective of improving or completing his/her learning and identifying
individual or group difficulties.
The Faculty has tutors at the national level specialized in the area of work. The designated
tutor must establish with the designated tutor the schedule for student attention, as well as
the way in which the personal, face-to-face, telephone and e-mail counseling activities will
be carried out.
TUTORIAL ACTIVITIES:
These activities will be developed during the meeting between the tutor and the
students of the subject and where the following work plan is proposed, not exempt
to modifications according to the dynamics of the groups:
1. The tutor should present to the group the work plan to be developed during the
two-hour tutorial session.
2. Presentation of the thematic by the tutor (5 minutes).
3. Review and solve the theoretical aspects in which the students have had
difficulties of understanding and comprehension. (15 minutes).
4. Practical exercises - case analysis. The tutor will develop in the tutoring sessions
exercises of typical cases according to the subject that is being seen at the moment
and that will serve as an introduction to a new subject or to reinforce one already
seen (60 minutes).
5. Carrying out individual or group practical workshops to strengthen and evaluate
the concepts, contents and learning of the subject (30 minutes).
6. Follow-up and control of the extra-tutorial activities programmed in each of the
guides, especially of the reports or written work prepared by the students, as well
as the proposed projects. (10 minutes)
