Computer Cart Installation SUPPLEMENT


Cart installation Supplement: Pre- Installation Preparation

Before beginning installation, please refer to the Post-Installation Checklist and Customer
Hand-Off items.

Cart installation Supplement: Unpackaging & Trash


Storage/Organization
Due to the space limitation of some customers, it is also recommended to re-use the large
cardboard packages that equipment is delivered in for trash storage/organization.

It is important to thoroughly remove and SAVE all instruction booklets,


cords/charging cables, etc to be accounted for and left with the customer at
installation completion (see Post-Installation Checklist and Customer Hand-Off
items).

• Some customers may have staff available to assist with waste removal either
throughout or at the end of the day. Please check that no important documents,
devices, cables are thrown away.

Recommended Tools

Before beginning the unboxing process, please be prepared with the following recommended
tools.

Scissors or other tool used to OR

Pocket Pen Philips head


screwdriver (or equivalent)

Zip Ties for cord-management


(there should be at least 5
provided in the installation)

Once you have opened the cart package, you will find several boxes and the
remainder of the required tools to complete the installation.

Once you have opened the cart package, you will find several boxes :

Open the A Box :

Extract all tools that can be used to mount the cart (E Bag and F Bag).

Cart installation Supplement: Steps
Step 1 - Headset tray
❏ Unpack a black piece from the H Bag and two screws from the I Bag.
❏ Extract the tray from the A Box and screw the black piece according to the
picture below.

IMPORTANT : Don’t screw it totally, you must be able to move this piece to put it
in a slide afterwards.

Step 2 - Computer tray
❏ Extract the second piece from the H Bag and the last two screws from the I
Bag.
❏ Extract the tray from the C Box and screw the black piece according to the
picture below.
IMPORTANT: Don’t screw it totally, you must be able to move this piece to put it in
a slide afterwards.

Step 3 - Keyboard/Mouse tray
❏ Extract the black piece and the screws from the B Bag.
❏ Extract the tray from the D Box and screw the black piece according to the
picture below.

IMPORTANT : Don’t screw it totally, you must be able to move this piece to put it
in a slide afterwards. The hooks must be oriented toward the board.

Step 4 - Secondary mast
❏ Unpack everything from the K Bag and the mast in the G Bubble wrap.
❏ Place the washers on the thumbscrews.
❏ Place the metal piece as shown on the pictures below with the hooks facing
inwards. Do not screw tightly.

Step 5 - Main mast
❏ Extract everything from the A Bag, the main mast in the F Box and the foot
from the A Box. The main mast has a multi-socket and a power switch. The
socket is usually stored in the mast body, it must be extracted before continuing
assembly.
❏ Route the power cable through the notch provided.

❏ Assemble the main mast and the foot with the screws extracted from the A
Bag. The shorter footbars must be placed on the same side as the power strip.
Tighten tightly.

❏ Place the wheels on the cart stand. You will find two sets of wheels in the A
Box. The wheels with brake must be placed on the front of the cart (longest foot
bars). Use the flat key found in the E Bag.

Step 6 – Bottom assembly
❏ Slide
❏ the computer tray C (Step 1) onto the right slide as low as possible and screw it tightly.
❏ Slide the HTC Vive tray A (Step 2) into the left slide to the level ~ top of power strip on
primary mast and screw it tightly.
❏ Slide the keyboard/mouse tray D (Step 3) into the front slide ~ hip height or (~ 3 inches/
1 palm width from top of primary mast and screw it tightly.

Step 7 - Masts assembly
❏ Place the secondary mast on the main mast G slide this down nearly to the power strip
and tight

Step 8 - Top assembly


❏ Slide the basket (B Box) into the back rail according to the picture below (~ level of primary mast
head and/or nearly to the level of the screw-knobs), screw it tightly.

Step 9 - Screen fixation
❏ Place the computer, screen-side down, on the keyboard tray. First remove the
current monitor stand from the screen and attach the provided computer mount/
screen support (E Bag) using the provided washers and screws in C Bag.

Screen connections

Connect the screen to the computer using the HDMI cable supplied in the additional
equipment box DO NOT USE the white or blue Display Port cable that comes with
computer monitor.

❏ This is also a good time to perform the screen connections and begin cord
management, including placing the cord controls on the primary mast (below).
❏ Once the screen is mounted to computer monitor, you have the option to tighten the
screen mount hinge in a neutral position (screw V). You may also need to tighten this once
the screen is mounted to primary mast

IMPORTANT : The V screw is made of plastic and can broke easily. Do not over
tighten it.

Step 9 - Screen fixation (cont.)

❏ Slide the screen support from onto the front rail according to the picture below, screw it
tightly into the primary mast.

❏ Close the top of the main mast using the cover in the A Box
❏ Close the top of the secondary mast using the cover in the A Box
