APPLICATION AREAS
Fevicol SA 73 is a product suitable to work on straw attachment. Bonding of BOPP and PVC film fixing to board.
This product has good affinity toward PP/HIPS and ABS substrates.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

a) Unique Features: Being white in colour it makes the appearance very good for straw fixing. Excellent resistance
to oxidation and colour stability in the melt. Very high hot tac and good adhesive cut-off.

b) Benefits to Customer: The product has good thermal stability for use on nozzle applicators. Excellent resistance
to oxidation and colour stability in the melt hence cleaning cycle will be reduced. Very good adhesive cut-off so
that no threading even at high machine speed.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Fevicol SA 73 pellets/granules are placed in hot melt applicator tank which is kept at 140 to 180ºC. Molten
adhesive then flows through the hose nozzle on to the surface which is to be bonded. The adhesive pressure and
temperature is adjusted for adequate glue quantity.

CLEANING: Preliminary cleaning while hot by scraping with a spatula. Remove any residues when cold with Jowat
Cleaner 402.40

PACKAGING INFORMATION
The product is available in packings of 30 Kg.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

The Hotmelt Bags must be stored in a cool, dry place at a temperature of around 15-30 ºC and away from dust,
direct heat and sunlight. Bags once opened should be closed properly to avoid contamination from dust and
moisture. Adequate safety measures should be taken while handling hot surfaces to avoid burns and fire hazards.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE

The properties (e.g. surface tension, plasticiser content) and the conditioning of the substrates, as well as the
processing conditions (e.g. ambient temperature, humidity) will influence the processes of joining and bonding.
Customer tests under consideration of everyday production conditions are therefore absolutely necessary to
define stable process parameters and to ensure that the product is fit for purpose. For best bonding results, the
materials to be bonded should be free of dust, oil and grease and be dry.
