Roof and Wall Sheeting

1 Roof Sheet As Specified.

2 Wall Cladding As Specified.

NOTE:

We have considered the following.

Above 2.6m brick wall, wall cladding considered alround the building.& above Mezzanine level Also

For Roof bracings Rod bracing with Pipe Struts considered.

For Side Wall bracings Tube bracing with Pipe Struts considered.

Building Condition – Enclosed.

Mezzanine columns up to Mezzanine level only considered.

Masonry joist considered.

1.2 Applicable Design Codes:

The Pre Engineered Building has designed according to the Buildings and Design Codes

2
1. “Code of Practice for General Construction in Steel AISC Working Stress Design &
MBMA – 2012.

2. “Code of Practice for design loads” IS: 875 (Part 3 WIND LOAD) – 2015 & MBMA
(Enclosed )”

3 Cold formed components have been designed in accordance with:

“Code of Practice for use of cold form light gauge steel structural member’s in general
building construction.” IS: 801-1975”

4 Welding has been applied in accordance with: IS : 816 Standards

5. “Criteria for Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures” IS-1893:2015 – Zone II , Factor-0.1

1.3 Design Loads:

Dead Load on roof 0.1 KN / m2 + Self weight of frame

Live Load on roof 0.57 KN / m2
Wind Speed 120 KMPH
Mezzanine Dead load 3 KN / m2
Mezzanine Live Load 5 KN / m

Earthquake Zone IS 1893-2016 Zone –II Factor-0.1.

1.4 Design Assumptions:

 The main frame rafters are rigidly connected to each other using moment type connection.
 For exterior columns, base supports considered as Fix Base
 For end wall interior columns and Main frame interior columns base supports considered as
Fix Base.
 The lateral stability of the building is provided through the frame action of the main frames.
 The longitudinal stability of the building is provided through truss action of braced bays of the
building.
 The roof purlins are continuous beams supported at rigid frame locations and span
considered as bay spacing of the building.
 The wall girts are continuous beams supported at rigid frame locations and span considered
as bay spacing of the building.
 Building enclosed condition: Enclosed.
