I Love You So Explanation:
The Walters’ “I Love You So” is an example of Eros love. He sings
“You’re everything I want but I can’t deal with all your lovers” and
“You’re saying I’m the one but it’s your actions that speak louder”.
These two verses point to the conclusion that he got cheated on which
is only found in one kind of love; Eros. For this reason, this song is
an example of Eros love.
Philia

You’ve Got A Friend In Me Explanation:
Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” is an example of
philia love. In the title itself, it says the word “friend”
and because philia is the the love between two friends, the
song represents philia love.
Agape

● Heal The World

Earth Explanation:

Lil Dicky’s “Earth” shows Agape; unconditional love. He


sings “we love the Earth” and because his love for Earth
something that will stay, this love is classified as Agape.
Storge
Examples:
● Beautiful Boy
● The Mother
● My Little Girl
Beautiful Boy Explanation:
John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy” represents Storge love. Lennon
sings “I can hardly wait to see you come of age”, meaning he
can’t wait to see his child grow up. Familial love is also
known as Storge, making this song represent Storge love.
