My stepson 12 years old has been stealing hundreds of dollars from my savings in my

drawer.
Post of the week
I cant believe it my stepson, who is normally a good kid has turn bad. He’s been
stealing money off my drawer. All of it was for a Christmas trip. I was going to
take my family and we caught him red-handed this weekend’s. His actual father, who
I’ve told is very upset and my wife is shocked.

I was very furious because he is stealing large sums of money for some time now! I
unfortunately exploded and yelled at him try to get him to sit down he wouldn’t, so
I put my hands on him, grabbed him to sit down and get to the bottom of this.
Eventually storms out and wait in the car and calls his dad.

His dad shows up so he comes in the house with me and my wife there. We talked for
a lil bit and his dad suggested that we wait a day for the tension to die down. I
wanted to get to the bottom of this right there and then. He said no we wait. I
didn’t like that decision because all that does is make us wait longer to figure
things out.

And this is where I get upset with his real dad because I suggest for discipline to
take his phone off his hands he should not have his phone at all anymore. He
disagreed because he paid for the phone and he pays monthly for it, so he says no
to that! In my opinion, it does not matter whether you’re paying for it or not you
punish your kid when he does something is wrong!

Here we are the next day we’re all supposed to group up and talk about this and we
come to find out that his dad said he is staying with him for the whole week and
will go from there. I love my stepson, but when he shows me no respect or doesn’t
really listen to me, I’m honestly at the edge of just checking out as a stepparent.
