T: Today we’ll start with the grammar revision and practise in using sentences of the
Perfect Continuous group; and after that we’ll discuss the possibilities of international
educational programmes.

Warming up 3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Вивчення пісні Кріса де Бурга «Missing You».
Учні слухають пісню і самостійно виконують завдання на картках (НО1). Потім хо-
ром співають.

Check on 1. Перевірка домашнього завдання.
Homework
1) РЗ, Unit 2, впр. 10.
Учні читають речення, що побудовані правильно, і називають помилки в непра-
вильних реченнях.
2) РЗ, Unit 2, впр. 11.
Учні по черзі читають речення, пояснюючи свій вибір теперішнього доконаного
або теперішнього доконано-тривалого часу.
3) РЗ, Unit 2, впр. 12.
Учні повідомляють, яку часову форму вони обрали, й пояснюють свій вибір.
Учитель стежить за правильністю відповідей, виправляє помилки у разі їх наяв-
ності.
Grammar 2. Повторення граматичного матеріалу: часи групи Perfect Continuous. Впр. 4 (с. 55).
Revision
Учні самостійно читають текст вправи, а потім уголос по черзі зачитують і аналізують
уживання речень у часових формах групи Perfect Continuous. Після цього відповідають
на післятекстові запитання. Учитель стежить за правильністю виконання завдання.
Listening 3. Аудіювання.
Comprehension
1) Етап підготовки до сприйняття тексту на слух.
а) Впр. 1 (с. 56).
Учні, користуючись поданою схемою, обговорюють запитання, поставлене в за-
вданні вправи. Учитель контролює правильність граматичної будови речень.
б) Презентація ЛО тексту. Впр. 3 (с. 57).
Учні ланцюжком читають визначення та в рамці на с. 57 знаходять слова, що їм
відповідають.
2) Етап слухання й перевірки розуміння змісту тексту.
а) Впр. 2 (с. 56).
Учні слухають текст і по черзі дають короткі відповіді на запитання вправи.
б) Впр. 4 (с. 57).
Учні слухають текст удруге і співвідносять подані назви країн із фактами з твер-
джень (1—5).
в) Впр. 5 (с. 57).
Учні читають твердження, визначаючи, правильні вони чи ні.
Учитель контролює правильність виконання завдань.

Reading 4. Подання тексту для читання.

Робота з картками.
Учні самостійно читають текст на картках (НО2), потім разом з учителем обговорюють
слова, якими вони заповнили пропуски в реченнях, та післятекстові запитання.

1. Read the text below. Fill in each gap with one word which best fits each space
(1—4).
The easiest and (1) effective way to learn a foreign language is to learn
it in the country where it is spoken. Study English abroad can help you travel
overseas and will immerse you completely in the language and the culture of
the country, so you will learn quickly and have more fun than you ever
imagined.
Studying abroad (2) you learn about other cultures, make new friends,
and develop tangible career benefits. You can develop real competitive advantages
over students who never venture abroad to study, including: improved (3)
language skills and a more cosmopolitan, international perspective. Study abroad
identifies you as informed, confident, self-sufficient, and able to learn quickly and
adapt to changing conditions.
There are so many English courses abroad that you would choose between them,
English teachers will focus on improving your English language vocabulary and
your understanding of the English language, therefore you become an active
learner. Also you can learn a (4) by doing basic things such as
shopping, going to the cinema or a restaurant, participating in the culture or
sports activities or by going out at night.

Учні, спираючись на прослуханий та прочитаний матеріал, готують короткі усні по-
відомлення за темою «Learning English Abroad», а потім по черзі виступають з ни-
ми. Учитель стежить за правильністю граматичної будови речень.
