Because of its highly regarded and innovative employee benefits, Google has become a

famous company. The company is ranked among the best companies to work for in the world

because of its perks which are unique. The company offers retirement plans and standard

healthcare and what makes it unique is the offering on-site medical staff like physical therapists

and physicians (Jones n.d.). The company also allows its employees to come with their pets to

work so that they can deal with their stress and balance work and life. Another factor that puts

the company above there is their approach to food where there access to free gourmet meals by

all employees. The meals focuses on sustainability and healthiness.

The company also provides paid sabbaticals to long-term employees in order to offer

support and through this they can engage in volunteering activities or pursue their interests.

Another factor that sets the company apart from the rest is their focus on developing employees

where they offer different in-house classes which cover different subjects. There is promotion of

continuous learning within the workforce (Jones n.d.). Still, the company offers financial support

to those who wants to further their studies even outside company-based courses but which offers

skills necessary for the job performance. All the stated factors have contributed to the building of

the reputation of the company and making it the top employer choice.

Another company that is widely recognized because of its unique benefit practices is

Salesforce which is a leading cloud-based software company. In the support of the personal

wellness, family obligations and volunteer activities they offer seven days annual off which is

filly paid to their employees and they term this as "Ohana Time” (Mazalon, 2022). The company

also offers support to their employees who wants to attend professional development events

without considering their roles and their relevance. The company also considers the well-being

of their employees and takes it seriously because it offers meditation and mindfulness programs

and the aim of this is to reduce stress of the staff members.

In addition, the company has implemented a generous charitable matching program

where employees can contribute to nonprofit organizations of their choice and have their

donations matched. The company has also put into considerations gender equality and this is

through the extensive pay equity assessments (Mazalon, 2022). They pay the same amount for

equal work in the company. Because of the factors that have been stated here, the company has

entered itself in the list of the "best companies to work for". This has also reflected the

commitment of the company towards inclusivity and creating conducive work environment.
