DIMENSION
The size will vary, depending on the yarn used. If you use the same materials as I did, the finished amigurumi
is about 9 cm tall when on the snowman side, and 6.5 cm tall when on the cupcake side.

Invisible Finish
After completing the last st, cut the yarn Skip 1st

and pull on the loop to draw the tail. Using
the tapestry needle, skip the next st, and
insert the needle from front to back, under Back loop of

both loops. Go back to the last st, and insert
the needle through the back loop of this st.
Pull on the tail.

Color Changing While Working in Rows

When changing the yarn color while working Picture 1 Result:
in rows, do not use tapestry technique (a Yarn tail from
previous color
technique where the non-working color is is behind the work

hidden within the stitches/along the back of

the work).
There are 2 options to manage the tail of
the previous yarn color:
1. Everytime you change the yarn color,
leave the previous yarn at the back of
your work (see picture 1).
Picture 2 Result:
2. Everytime you change the yarn color,
leave the previous yarn towards the
front before you take the new yarn (see
picture 2).
For this project I did the first option. But it’s
up to you to choose between these options.
Yarn tail from
previous color is in
front of the work

BODY/CUPCAKE’S LINER
We will crochet using red and grey yarn alternately
(please see how to change color while working in
rows - page 2). To simplify the writing, red and
grey colors of the font below correspond to the
yarn colors.
First, we will work in rows. Try to work with the
same stitch tension as when you work in rounds.
Start with grey yarn. Prepare about 15 cm starting
yarn tail for sewing (for each color). Make 3ch,
7ch, then start from the second loop from the
hook:
Cut the grey yarn. But don’t cut the red yarn.

Flip the body/cupcake’s liner down. Join the first

row (Row 1) of the body with the last row (Row 48)
by sewing their FL using the red and grey starting
yarn tail of the body.

In the next round we will join the head to the body.

To join the head, position the head inside the body.
Crochet through both body and head layer
according to the following instructions.
R3: with head: [2sc, dec, 3sc, dec]x4 (28)

SCARF
Hold the Snowman with the body facing you.
Attach the grey yarn at the FL of R19 of the head
(you worked R20 BLO). Make 2ch, then FLO 42dc
(42).
Fasten off. Leave 10cm long tail to join both ends
of the scarf.

Start to stuff the head with fiberfill and continue

stuffing as you go.
R4: [2sc, dec]x7 (21)
R5: [sc, dec]x7 (14)
R6: 7dec (7)
Stuff the head firmly.
Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Using the yarn
needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop
of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close.
Hide the tail inside the head.

PEPPERMINT CANDIES (make 2)

Start with white yarn. Work in joined rounds.
R1: 7sc in MR (7), sl st in the first st
In the next round, we will crochet using red and
white yarn alternately. To simplify the writing, the
red and white color of the font below corresponds
to the yarn colors.

ASSEMBLY
Attach the arms to the body at the red part,
just below the scarf.
Attach the hanging end of the scarf just below
the main scarf, with the wrong side facing
outside.
Attach the hat to the top of the head using the
red yarn tail (I didn’t stuff the hat).
Attach the leaves and candies on the top of
the head, near the hat.
Using orange yarn, embroider the nose,
between R14-15 of the head, 2st wide.
Using dark brown yarn, embroider the smile
at R16 below the nose.
Using peach yarn, embroider the rosy cheek
between R15-16 of the head.
Attach/glue the flat black beads on the body
as the buttons.
