The present English work has as focus of development a self-composition and english alphabet
pronunciation. The same issue came up in the context of the English course that the Catholic
University of Mozambique offered as part of its online degree program in geography teaching.
As a result, this paper will address parts of the Zero conditional, First conditional, and Second
Conditional..
Aspects like the individual description and alphabet letter pronunciation will be examined during
the work's discernment.
As the starting point for the theoretical development of this work, an examination of sources
including articles and manuals with a clear connection to the theme in allusion will be made. The
growth of it will therefore adhere to the following structure: Introduction; Theoretical
development; and Conclusion.
3
1.1. Objectives
Write a piece of writing in which you discuss your own respect for others and demonstrate
how to pronounce the alphabet.
1.2. Methodology
Methodology goes beyond the description of the procedures (methods and techniques to be used
in the research), indicating the theoretical choice made by the researcher to approach the object
of study.
However, although they are not the same thing, theory and method are two inseparable terms,
“and must be treated in an integrated and appropriate manner when choosing a theme, an object,
or a research problem” (Minayo, 2007, p. 44 ).
Therefore, in order to carry out this work, a bibliographical research was necessary, which
according to Gil (2002, p.44) “bibliographical research is developed based on material already
elaborated, consisting mainly of books and scientific articles”. Although in almost all studies
some type of work of this nature is required, there are researches developed exclusively from
bibliographic sources.

2.2. The pronunciation of individual alphabet letters and letters within words
The English word "alphabet" comes from the first two letters of the Greek alphabet: alpha, beta.
It is very important to understand that the letters of the alphabet do not always represent the
same sounds of English, (Eastwood, 1994).
This page is about how we pronounce the letters of the alphabet when we "say the alphabet
(ABC...)".
Accordingly to Eastwood (1994), the alphabet is the set of 26 letters (from A to Z) that we use to
represent English in writing:
A B C D E F G
( ei ) ( bi ) (Ci ) ( Di ) (I) ( Ef ) ( dji )
H I J K L M N
(eitchi) ( ai ) ( djei ) (kei ) (el ) (Em) (En)

O P Q R S T U
( Ou ) (Pe) (kiu) (a) (es) ( ti ) ( iu )
V W X Y Z
( vi ) (dabliu) (eks) (uai) (zed)

3. Conclusion
As we saw, the English alphabet has the 26 letters, however, the letters are pronounced quite
differently from Portuguese alphabet. Knowing the pronunciation of the alphabet in English is
very useful when there is a need to write down some information spelled out or to spell out some
data, for example, in communication with a native speaker of the language.
The pronunciation of the letters of the English alphabet can be a challenging task for those who
are learning the language. While some letters may sound similar to English, others have a
completely different pronunciation, and some letters have more than one sound. Also, the
pronunciation of the letters can vary depending on the context or position in the word.
