About Us

Enigma E-Cell aims to transform itself into a platform to

launch the leaders of tomorrow towards the path of
success. We plan to widen our scope of impact by allowing
not only students but working professionals, retired
personnel, etc. to have an opportunity to fabricate their
vision into reality. Opportunities and networks are the two
defining factors in the realm of entrepreneurship that
makes all the difference. We want to make sure that there
is no dearth of either. Our team is a small group of hard-
working individuals who work day in, day out to bring us

Workshop
Conducted by R2MI Ventures and CREDR
with NMIT’s grand technical fest
Geekmayhem around the corner as well as
Enigma’s flagship annual event – IDEATHON
2020, the E-Cell Enigma team decided to
conduct a pre-fest workshop to help
participants work extensively on their ideas,
structure of their proposals before the
grand event.
For the workshop, Enigma collaborated with
CREDR and R2MI Ventures to facilitate and
deliver a workshop that was of top-notch
quality. Further, the Chief Strategy Officer
at CREDR, Mr Sasidhar Nandigam made time
to be the instructor and keynote speaker
for the event.
The event began at 10:00 am in the
morning with a warm welcome of the
speaker by Team Enigma. The workshop
delved into the intricate aspects of
Business Modelling and Financing,
specifically after the previous edition of
IDEATHON suggested relatively
insufficient understanding of this topic
among the participants.

Going by Enigma’s philosophy of constantly
improvising and help the entrepreneurship
culture on the whole advance, the workshop
helped participants understand certain
Business Models adopted by large companies
as well as successful Indian startups.
The challenging topic of Marketing was also
extensively covered by helping participants
understand the idea of Brand Value,
Recognition and the standards of
accountability along with transparency that
ought to be met to function as a strong
company. These two ideas were brought
together during the conclusion by helping
participants understand how each of the
aspects helps secure funding and widespread
adoption.
On the whole, the workshop was fairly
challenging and that was done to ensure the
participants’ knowledge and understanding
advances. The fantastic feedback and reviews
helped the organizing team at E-Cell Enigma
declare the workshop a grand success.

Anaadyanta is the annual college fest

conducted by NMIT every year which is
one of the largest techno-cultural fest
around Bangalore circuit where a lot of
events are organized by the different
departments and clubs of the college.
There are various events which boost up
the confidence of the people
participating in the events but it also
helps them learn something new.

2020
Date: 3rd March 2020
Ideathon 2020 was organised by Enigma in
collaboration with Geekmayhem, E-Cell,
NMIT amidst the Techno-Cultural fest
Anaadyanta. The event was organised to
motivate the young entrepreneurs and
give them an experience of the corporate
world.
The event began at 8:30 AM with the
registration of the participants and the
distribution of kits. With the warm
welcoming of the judges and the
participants, the event was inaugurated at
10 AM.

The participants were then briefed
about the event by coordinators. The
first round being 30 seconds Kahoot
Quiz began at 11:30 AM followed by
Round 2.
In the “GET, SET, PITCH” round each
team had two minutes to present their
idea and qualify for the final round.
The final round took place at 2:15 PM
shortly after the Lunch break. In the
final round, each team had 8 minutes
for presentation and 3 minutes of
questioning by judges.

 With the last presentation taking place,

 Mock
Parliament

Mock Parliament is one of the events conducted by Enigma E-Cell team of NMIT
during Anaadyanta. The event began at 10:30 by welcoming the judges and
explaining the event to the participants.
The main idea of this is that Politics has often fascinated people with an
urge to lead others and express their feelings to the world. Our aim was to
generate parliamentary approach in budding young entrepreneurs helping them
to understand critical impact, the pros and cons of a motion passed. This event
committee shall be Ad-Hoc Indian Prime Minister’s Cabinet, which will be a crisis
committee and shall proceed with the passing of various motions with simple
majority by the participant’s present. Each motion shall be voted upon by the
committee and then only it will be set in motion.
In the 1st round each of them were told to speak for or against making a single
election for the nation while convincing the people who were against their
opinions also they were told to form two groups were they had the opportunity
to debate with each other.

not only provided them a platform to present their views but also boost their
confidence up a several notches. And hence Mock Parliament conducted by ECELL
NMIT was a great success.

Date: 5th March 2020

Disrupt was one of the two events
organized by Enigma E-Cell of NMIT during
Anaadyanta. This event was held 14:30
onwards. The aim of this event was to find
the hidden innovative trait as it was a 2
round event in which the participants have
to come up with potential ideas based on
the keywords provided. The hard work of
the participants gave rise to many
innovative ideas and thinking skills. After
some time in the competition of 2hrs, the
results were announced. The winners were
awarded by Manjunath H N and Bharat C.
Hence Disrupt conducted by ECELL NMIT
was a great success.

Enigma, the Entrepreneurship cell of NMIT

presented a perfect blend of technology and
entrepreneurship. We invited Mr Sudip C. Gupta , a
college alumnus of NMIT, now the CEO and founder
of AIVOLVED Technologies, a start-up working on
Machine Learning and Data Analytics to address
our ever enthusiastic members.
The event was conducted online through the video
conferencing platform google-meet. As the Host
inaugurated the session by introducing our guest
and speaker for this webinar. The session started
with a presentation of AIvolved Technologies and
the speaker conveyed some inspirational things
about Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurs and his
personal experience in running the startup.
Our guest further discussed how modern
technology is shaping the industry and how a
majority of new startups are centered around
Automation and AI. He then further talked about
the need of coming up with new ideas related to
automation and how the simplest to most complex
technologies are based on ML and deep learning.
The event came to a conclusion with a Q&A session
which was very actively participated in by the
audience. It was a very successful session that
reached out to all the future entrepreneurs.

Enigma the E-Cell of NMIT organized an

online session on "CHALLENGES OF
ENTREPRENEURSHIP". It was held on a
Google meet platform at 7PM on the 10th
of October 2020. 35 to-be-entrepreneurs
happened to join us in the meeting.It was a
privilege to have Sri Avinash Mumbaraddi,
the Chief Executive Officer of Nisarga
Vineyards Pvt Ltd, a profound speaker
with us.He started by narrating his own
experiences, both good and bad. Further,
he summed up the challenges he faced to
following mentioned factors:-

Being an entrepreneur has always been the
most exciting for every youngster but the
most common question raised by most is
about the right time to begin a startup.
To come up with a satisfactory answer and
get expert views on it, Enigma – E-Cell,
NMIT, conducted an interactive session with
Mr Ankush Sehgal, Founder & CEO of
Worthyads, Business Growth Hacker.
The session was conducted online on 7th
November 2020 at 2 PM, through video
conferencing platform Google Meet. The
session began with a welcome speech by the
moderator of the event and finance head of
E-cell, Ms. Alini Christ Paul.

Sehgal, then took over the event giving a
brief introduction of himself and also
bringing to our knowledge about the
marketing strategies.The event continued
with the interactive session on the topic

Further, various important aspects of the
Entrepreneurial journey were discussed
and the factual truths about it were
revealed by the speaker. The participants
keenly listened to Mr.Sehgal and queried
their doubts in a Q&A session.

problems near
you!!
Problems are a part of our life and
we all face it now and then but
there are few problems which are
common to us all. However we tend
to either ignore them or we get
accustomed to them, which in future
creates further problems of their
own or in severe cases, mis-
happenings, which could have been
avoided.

Keeping this significance in mind, we
decided to take a look around and
identify the most major problem of
them all. Our team held a week long
online survey where all were asked
to give one major problem they see
in their surroundings. We witnessed
an active participation of 108 people
in the survey and identified five
major problems. Women Safety was
the winner, having been considered
as the most significant concern by a
total of 35 people. Sanitation and
Access to healthcare was considered
a major problem by 21 -19 people
each. Access to safe drinking water
was pointed out by 11 people. Last
of all, Education was considered
another major problem by 10 people
in total.

Our E-Cell team Enigma took an online
survey to know the problems people face
in their life or see others facing it. Quite
unfortunately, the issue observed by
maximum people was Women Safety.
Keeping this in mind, our team conducted a
group discussion on the same to find some
possible solutions to it. The Key Points
brought forward by the members amidst

As a part of NEC's 2020-21 task, ENIGMA E-
Cell, NMIT, organized a fun filled social media
event: "MyCrazyStartupIdea". Its objective
being that participants were asked to create
a short video outlining their “crazy start-up
idea” as individuals or groups. They were
required to post the same on their account
using hashtags - #mycrazystartupidea and
#ecellnmit. There was an overwhelming
response and a multitude of innovative ideas
poured in.

Orientation
At Enigma, we are always excited to bring
on-board passionate members who have
a strong Entrepreneurship drive or if not
that then just the willingness to learn new
things and explore the uncharted. Year
after year, the newly joined members'
spirit spills over and fuels our whole
family to come up with new enthusiastic
ideas, events and approaches.
The Freshman Orientation was conducted
by us on 9th January 2021. The event
was conducted online using the platform
Airmeet. The Host introduced our
respected Guest Vinod Dave to this
orientation program. The session started
with Mr. Dave telling an inspiring story
about a hermit with a very strong moral
that “Only when you have faced failure,
your true success will begin”.

The Guest also conveyed to the audience
that unlike the popular belief
Entrepreneurship is not about success,
it's about failure and how you overcome it
to develop the best version of whatever
is that you are offering. Quoting his
closing statement, “Entrepreneurship is a
journey where you fail miserably and then
come up again and again until you reach
the people’s expectations”.
After the speech there was a Q&A
session where our future Members
bombarded Mr. Dave with their doubts
and questions.
The Airmeet was concluded on a happy
note with the whole audience having their
mind filled with inspiration and something
new to think of.

Enigma-The E-Cell of NMIT held Recruitments
for the fresher's on the 15th, 16th & 17th of
January 2021. A whopping of 144 candidates
happened to register using the Google forms
sent. The recruitment process was held both in
offline & online mode so that we reach every
potential candidate in the current scenario. In
these tough times, it was satisfactory to see such
enthusiastic candidates who radiated tremendous
positive energy even in the online sessions.
The offline interview was conducted for two
days. We happened to see some genuine
entrepreneurship enthusiasts who had
phenomenal ideas about their respective
portfolios. It was indeed a pleasure to see the
participants adhering to the COVID norms by
sanitizing themselves and keeping their masks on
full time. By the actions, we could see them as
exemplary leaders.

The online interview was conducted on the
Google meet platform over a period of
three days. As anticipated the maximum
candidates attended the same here. We
could proudly envision the bright future of
the E-Cell NMIT as few of the participants
showcased their interests and skills
through small video clips. It was
mesmerizing to see such a commitment
towards the club at the beginning.
Honestly, this kind of response was never
seen in the past.
The passionate participants spoke about
their areas of interest confidentially,
mentioned below. The understanding of
each domain and different application in
each of them was explained by a few in a
beautiful manner. On the other hand, It was
also observed that a few candidates had
very little idea about the domains and did
not have a clear notion about the purpose
of attending the interview.

Every participant had to face a panel of three members
from the Enigma team. The candidates were judged on
the basis of the confidence they possess, their
communication skills and their commitment towards the
work. On a scale of 5, each attribute was awarded
points as when the interview took place. The whole
panel of the interviews had a discussion and each of

It can be a very difficult choice for a student

to choose between pursuing Higher studies,
getting a stable job, establishing something of
their own.
Keeping this in mind and as a part of NEC's
2020-21 task, ENIGMA E-Cell, NMIT, organized
a panel discussion among experts in their
respective fields and having the above
mentioned different career choices. We invited
Mr. Aanshul Sadaria - SWE at Google, Mr.
Anoop Garg - Co founder at Programming
Paathshala and Mr. Harshith Srivastava -
MBA from IIFT Delhi to solve this doubt of
ours.

Pitching workshop was organised by
Enigma-Ecell NMIT intended to enlighten
and ignite the entrepreneurial skills of our
youngest minds. The workshop was
designed to be completely interactive for
students to generate ideas, make business
pitches and identify their strengths in the
area of entrepreneurship.
The session was conducted online on 22
January 2021 at 5 PM, through the video
conferencing platform Airmeet. The
session began with the introduction of the
speaker. The speaker began the workshop
with the introduction of himself and about
his experience in the world of
entrepreneurship and its importance in
today’s world.

dived into the aspects of service/product
start-ups, models of B2C/B2B and even
into the aspects of Revenue models. Since,

newest members, they were backed up

conclusion, time was allotted for Q&A ,
where students were allowed to clarify
their doubts and any queries they had. The

At the end of the workshop students had a
clear idea about pitching and were
confident with their several entrepreneurial

All the presentations were intriguing and it
could be told that a lot of thinking and
effort was put into them. The performance
given by all the teams was worth
applauding. Finally, the results were
announced which was a very tough call to
make. ARION MOTORSPOT secured the
first place while the second place was
secured by SHVAN MINIATURE.
The event was a great success and all the
participants learned many new things which
would definitely help them to make a better
pitch.
