SECTION B: SUBJECTIVE TYPE QUESTIONS
Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions on Employability Skills (2 x 3 = 6 marks)
Answer each question in 20 – 30 words.
Q. 6 Moving a file means shifting it from its original location (source) to another location 2
(destination), whereas, copying a file means to create a duplicate copy of the selected
file.
Q. 7 Two myths about entrepreneurship are: 2
Entrepreneurs are high risk-takers.
Entrepreneurs are mainly motivated to get rich.
Q. 8 Entrepreneurship helps in wealth creation and the development of the society. While 2
establishing a business, entrepreneurs invest their resources and attract capital from
investors, lenders, and the public. It results in the flow of public wealth and allows
people to benefit from the success of entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
Q. 9 S in 'SMART' stands for Specific. It means the goal to achieve something must be 2
established using a specific set of criteria.
Q. 10 Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well 2
as the emotions of others. It is generally said to include at least three skills:
• Emotional awareness: the ability to identify and name one’s own emotions.
• Harnessing emotions: the ability to harness and apply emotions to tasks like thinking
and problem solving.
ps
• Managing emotions: the ability to regulate one’s own emotions when necessary and
help others to do the same.

Answer any 4 out of the given 6 questions in 20 – 30 words each (2 x 4 = 8 marks)

Q. 11 Supervised Learning: 2
Supervised Learning is the machine learning approach defined by its use of labelled
datasets to train algorithms to classify data and predict outcomes.
Unsupervised Learning:
Unsupervised Learning is a type of machine learning in which the algorithms are
Ki
provided with data that does not contain any labels or explicit instructions on what to do
with it. The goal is for the learning algorithm to find structure in the input data on its
own.
Q. 12 When we feed data to an AI system, it runs some algorithms, does some complex 2
mathematics and gives us a result. For humans to understand the algorithms and
complex mathematics, and do this process manually is an impossible task and would take
up a lot of time. When such a scenario takes place, it is known as black-box learning.
Q. 13 The five stages of AI Project Cycle: 2
Stage 1: Planning
Stage 2: Data Acquisition
Stage 3: Data Exploration
Stage 4: Modelling
Stage 5: Evaluation and Deployment
Q. 14 Bag of words is a Natural Language Processing technique of text modelling, i.e., it is a 2
method of feature extraction with text data. A bag of words is a representation of text
that describes the occurrence of words within a document. We just keep track of word
counts and disregard the grammatical details and the word order. It is called a “bag” of
words because any information about the order or structure of words in the document is
discarded. The model is only concerned with whether known words occur in the
document, not where in the document.

Q. 15 Some applications of NLP include: 2
• Email filtering
• Smart Assistants
• Search results
• Predictive text
• Language translation
• Sentiment analysis
Q. 16 Accuracy is the percentage of correct predictions out of the observations made. A 2
prediction is correct if it matches the reality. There are two conditions in which the
prediction matches with the reality: True Positive and True Negative. Therefore, the
formula to determine Accuracy is:

Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions in 50– 80 words each (4 x 3 = 12 marks)
Q. 17 Machine Learning: 4
Machine learning is a component of AI. It makes use of the past data to solve a problem
with the support of the statistical methods and trained algorithm model. It learns
automatically and improves with every experience it gains. It learns algorithms based on
input labelled or unlabelled data and makes a prediction based on the trained

algorithms. One of the best examples of machine learning is Email Spam Filter.

Deep learning is a subunit of machine learning. In fact, it is, in a way, an extension of

machine learning. Deep learning is a technique that is used to learn and apply AI. It
makes use of an artificial neural network to make decisions and predict the solution for
the given problems. Artificial neural network works just like a natural neural network
that works in human brains. An artificial neural network is an interconnected group of
nodes, which has been inspired by the network of neurons in our brains.
Q. 18 Natural Language Processing (NLP) 4
This domain of AI is working towards the creation of the artificial intelligence systems,
Ki
which will be capable of communicating with human beings using natural language
rather than by syntax or the identification of keywords. This domain is working for the
development of both oral and spoken languages.
Natural Language Understanding (NLU)
NLU is a component of NLP. It is for understanding spoken or written language. It
includes the following:
• Establishing linkage with natural language inputs and what they represent
• Analysing different aspects of the language
Q. 19 Supervised Learning is the machine learning approach defined by its use of labelled 4
datasets to train algorithms to classify data and predict outcomes. When we train an AI
system using this type of learning method, we provide the machine with the correct
answer in advance. Principally, the AI system knows the answer as well as the question.
This is one of the most common methods of training because it produces the most
significant amount of data; it defines patterns among the various questions and answers.
If we wish to find out why or how something takes place, an AI can look at the data and
determine connections with the help of the supervised learning method.
