MEL (Kathleen): We know that nowadays, younger generations
are more into their cellphones than books, TV, or other forms
of entertainment. This question is for parents. Are you familiar
with what your children are watching on the internet? Have
you been aware of the videos they post on their social media
accounts, and more importantly, have you been informed that
their provocative dancing and exposing almost naked bodies in
front of a cellphone camera could be a way for them to earn
money? That is what we call online prostitution. We often
report on this in the 24 Oras program, but today, #MPK will
discuss this sensitive topic as a warning. This will only be
featured in our episode titled "Online Body Selling." (Formal
and warning tone)
(drama actions begin)
Maricar (Shamel): If I had known life with you, Leo, would be
like this, I might have chosen a different path-maybe even
selling my own body to feed my kids. Times are tough, and
instead of focusing on essentials, our money goes towards your
vices. (furious expression, feels like you’re about to cry)
Maricar(Shamel): I am right, aren’t I?
(Leo was drunk and goes towards his wife and he tightly
grabbed his wife's hair)
Leo (Ryan): Enough, I am getting fed up with your constant
babbling!
(Leo grabbed the alcohol and pour to the mouth of his wife)
Leo (Ryan): Drink this alcohol, so you can stop talking too
much!
Narrator (Kyle Micah): The mother was drowning into the
alcohol and Nico arrived and help his mother and he push his
father
Nico (Ken): Dad, please, enough! You are getting too far. You
are drinking excess, and you are hurting Mom. Look at
yourself. Do you still think you look sane anymore?
Nico (Ken): Enough of this agony, let us leave Dad. Let us end
this suffering. It is the best thing we could do. (furiously glaring
at his father)
Maricar (Shamel): What about your siblings? (tearing up)
Nico (Ken): I will take care of it.
Leo (Father): These kids have some nerve. Why? Do you think

Narrator (Kyle Micah ): As the mother and son left their
father's house, they sought refuge with their harsh and

Narrator (Kyle Micah): Nico's siblings executed their plan to

leading to a confrontation.
Auntie Mila (Daniella): Hey, what are you doing? Are you
stealing my sardines? (angrily)
Nico (Ken): No, Auntie, I am just starving and have not eaten
yet.
Auntie Mila (Daniella): I do not care; it is not my problem. Give
it to me.
Nico ( Ken): Please have mercy. (tearing up)
Auntie Mila (Daniella): It is mine, now. You're a thief and
ungrateful. (shouting)
(Nico refuses to give the sardines and gets hurt by his Auntie)
Auntie Mila(Daniella): Fine, do you want to leave? Leave. You
are just a headache. (shouting)
INTERVIEW
Mel (Kathleen): Where did you go?
Nico (Mhaybeline): To a friend's place. I did not know he was a
thief. We got caught by the police.
IN JAIL
(Two girls are walking while holding trays)
Naya (Nica):Look Jennie, the new inmate is handsome.
Jennie (Jennie): He looks so soft and gentle (soft laughter)
Naya (Nica): You know what I am thinking?
Jennie (Jennie): I know you so well, Naya.
(Nico coincidentally walking towards their place)

Nico (Mhaybeline): I felt depressed, always staring. My siblings
do not know what happened. But later on, I was proven
innocent and released.
AT ROADSIDE
Narrator (Kyle Micah): As Nico was walking, he noticed a sign
of job offer so he went to see it. Suddenly, he notices a guy,
Rex, recording himself with his cellphone camera.
Rex (Lowell): (teasingly) Hey, You stare intensely. Is there any
problem?
Nico (Ken): (defensively) No, I saw a sign; you might need a
helper. I was thinking of applying.
Rex (Lowell): You want to be a helper?
Nico (Ken): Yes, I need a job.
Rex (Lowell): Are you sure about that? Does not seem like your
thing, but you might have something to offer.
Nico (Ken): What do you mean?
Rex: Do not ask too many questions. You want a job, right?
Nico (Ken): Yes.
Rex (Lowell): Alright, you are hired. We might get along. By the
way, my father owns this junk shop. I am Rex.
Nico (Ken): I am Nico.
Rex (Lowell): Come in, leave your stuff, and wait for me. I will
just finish what I am doing.
(Rex continued his dancing)
Narrator (Kyle Micah): Mark got the job, though the pay was
low. He saved money for his siblings but he faced uncertainty
when the junk shop closed.
Nico (Ken): Your father said the shop is closing. I need a job for
my siblings. Where can I find one?
Rex (Lowell): You know what, everything is online now. You can
be an online seller.
Nico (Ken): Sell what? I do not have money for that.
Rex (Lowell): You do not need money for this. You will just
going to used data, phone, and your body. Upload videos of
you dancing on TikTok. I will teach you.
(Nico learns to dance on TikTok)
Nico (Ken): Alright.
Rex (Lowell): Left, right. You can do it. Show me. (cheering and
guiding Nico to dance)

Nico (Ken): It is awkward.
Rex (Lowell): If you want to earn money, be sexy. Having more
followers means more money. Going topless is better.

Nico (Ken): How do we earn from TikTok?
Rex (Lowell): Once you are famous, people will message you.
Be open to message requests. Some will ask for sexy pictures or

AT LIVING ROOM
Nico (Ken): This is great. Dude, look at this. My followers are
increasing. Your advice really works. (in an eager joyful tone)
(Nico went to Rex’s room and saw Rex recording his private
parts in front of a cellphone camera)
Nico (Ken): Hey woah, dude. (in shock)(pause in a while) What
are you doing? Why are you recording yourself? (confused
tone)
Rex (Lowell): Tsk, what a great pretender you are. Look at
yourself, acting all innocent. Besides, I am just recording
because my client requested it.
Nico (Ken): How do you post private videos on social media?
Rex (Lowell): You can entertain them without showing your
face. Also, it is just a video; they cannot really touch me. It will
not make me less of a man. Plus, you will earn more money in
this way.
Nico (Ken): Isn't this worse than scavenging?
Rex (Lowell): Come to think of stealing or committing crimes,
what is more morally wrong?(uging him to question his his
statement) Let go of your principles. Tsk, get out of my room, I
still have things to do.
Narrator (Kyle Micah): Due to the lack of opportunities to send
money to his siblings, Nico was pushed into selling his body
online.
AT REX HOUSE GATE
Nico (Ken): (at the phone) Did you received the money I sent?
Good, take care. I will go back to work now. Study well.
Rex (Lowell): Dude, nice new phone. (teasing tone) I told you

Nico (Ken): Thanks, dude.
Rex (Lowell): Hmm, your timing is perfect. One of my clients is

(confused and mixed emotions tone) Why are you looking at

(the phone rings)
Nico (Ken): Hello, Ara . Why did you call? What happened to
Bella? ( Nico picks up the cellphone with worried expression)
Rex (Lowell): What happened to your sister?

dengue. We need to take her to the hospital, but I do not have
anything right now. (Nico’s face tightens with concern)
Rex (Lowell): If you really need money, maybe I can pass on my
booking tonight.
Nico (Ken): What booking?
Rex (Lowell): A booking, where you meet the client in person. It
pays more. The question is, are you willing take a risk?
Nico (Ken): Whatever it is, dude. Even if I have to sell my soul

Mel (Kathleen): Ms. Chen, what information have we gathered
regarding the spread of HIV cases here in the Philippines?
Dra. Lee (Alaisa): It is not just about the virus spreading.
People, whether male or female, can still get infected with HIV,
and it continues to happen until we fully broaden our
understanding of how we can reduce and prevent the risk of
getting HIV.
AT NICO’S ROOM
Nico (Ken): (loses control) I cannot take it anymore! My God,
why me? Why me?? (crying out loud) I'm useless in this world.

(He spotted a knife and attempted to harm himself, but his
siblings arrived to stop him)
Ara (Janice): Nico, what happened to you? Why did it turn out
like this, Nico? (crying)
Bella (Angel): Why don’t you tell us what is happening to you?
All we know is that everything is okay, but what is this???
Ara (Janice): Let us take him to the hospital.
Narrator (Kyle Micah): Mark became depressed due to
everything that happened to him, but his siblings never
abandoned him)
AT THE HOSPITAL
Ara (Janice): I'm sorry, if only I knew you would go through this,
I would have come back sooner.
Nico (Ken): My illness is disgusting, so you should leave.
Bella (Angel): We do not think that you are gross. You are
accepted just as you are.
Nico (Ken): I am sinful, and it feels like all of this is punishment
for me.
Ara (Janice): Nico, it is never too late. Everyone makes
mistakes, and there is always a room for change. But, Nico,

Nico (Mhaybeline): Yes, I am still undergoing treatment
because I want to be with my family.
Mel (Kathleen): How is your life now? What are you doing for a

Nico (Ken): Thank you very much to all our viewers, especially

Nico (Mhaybeline): To all mothers, please watch over your
children. To the youth, be cautious and avoid meeting people
you don't know, as it may lead to danger. The world can be
