Abstract: This report emphasis on how Grameenphone maintain and practice their corporate
governance social responsibility. Grameenphone, widely abbreviated as GP, is the leading
telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh. As of January 2022, its current subscribers span
over 83.02 million. It is a joint venture between Telenor and Grameen Telecom Corporation. All the
information we will use for the report are collected from Grameenphone official website and others
authentic sources.
When a company consist of these all criteria including Clear Policies and Procedures, Board
Oversight, Transparency and Disclosure, Accountability, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk Management,
Ethical Conduct, Training and Development, Compliance with Laws and Regulations, Continuous
Improvement. Then, we can say that the company maintain their corporate governance. Form the
Grameenphone official website we can see that they maintain their corporate governance correctly.
Till 2021 Grameenphone has 11 Board member which meet the requirement of board member.

2. Independent Director does not hold any share in the Company or holds less than one
percent (1%) shares of the total paid-up shares.
3. Independent Director is not a sponsor of the Company.
