HEROES OF HOMER (ODDESEY): (Sandra and Husna)

“SPEAK, MEMORY—
Of the cunning hero,
The wanderer, blown off course time and again
After he plundered Troy's sacred heights.” – line from Odessey

The works of Homer, the great Greek poet has enthralled readers, young and adult
for a great many years. His epics, filled with tragedy, love, war and sacrifice are a
tribute to the great Greek history.

I remember, the day I read the Odessey, the long tale of Ulysses, king of Ithaca. His
riveting story, a beautiful mix of myth and reality, held my attention from start to
finish. How wonderful it would be, if we could see it acted out right now!

Well, Husna, your wish is about to come true. The students and teachers of the
theatre club have put together a captivating performance, narrating the story of
Homer’s famous epic. Ladies and Gentlemen, please put your hands together for the
stunning play, (together) The Heroes of Homer!
