HURRICANE – are tropical storms that forms over the north
Atlantic ocean and Northeast Pacific
CYCLONES – formed over south Pacific and Indian ocean
TYPHOONS – formed over northwest pacific ocean

What is tropical typhoon?


A tropical cyclone is a rapidly rotating storm system characterized by a
low-pressure center, a closed low-level atmospheric circulation, strong
winds, and a spiral arrangement of thunderstorms that produce heavy
rain

Eye - is a region of mostly calm weather at the


center of tropical cyclones
Eyewall-is the location within a hurricane where
the most damaging winds and intense rainfall is
found
Rain bands-is an area of rainfall where all the
clouds and precipitation are stretched out in a
long line or band
