Abstract
The advent of Internet of Things (IoT) has shown a new direction of
innovative research in agricultural domain. Being at nascent stage, IoT needs to
be widely experimented so as to get widely applied in various agricultural
applications. In this paper, I review various potential IoT applications, and the
specific issues and challenges associated with IoT deployment for improved
farming. To focus on the specific requirements the devices, and wireless
communication technologies associated with IoT in agricultural and farming
applications are analyzed comprehensively. Investigations are made on those
sensor enabled IoT systems that provide intelligent and smart services towards
smart agriculture. Various case studies are presented to explore the existing IoT
based solutions performed by various organizations and individuals and
categories according to their deployment parameters. Related difficulties in these
solutions, while identifying the factors for improvement and future road map of
work using the IoT are also highlighted.

2. Abstract
Despite the perception people may have regarding the agricultural process,
the reality is that today’s agriculture industry is data-centered, precise, and
smarter than ever. The rapid emergence of the Internet-of-Things (IoT) based
technologies redesigned almost every industry including‘‘ smart agriculture’’
which moved the industry from statistical to quantitative approaches. Such
revolutionary changes are shaking the existing agriculture methods and creating
new opportunities along a range of challenges. This article highlights the potential
of wireless sensors and IoT in agriculture, as well as the challenges expected to be
faced when integrating this technology with the traditional farming practices. IoT
devices and communication techniques associated with wireless sensors
encountered in agriculture applications are analyzed in detail. What sensors are
available for specific agriculture application, like soil preparation, crop status,
irrigation, insect and pest detection are listed. How this technology helping the
growers throughout the crop stages, from sowing until harvesting, packing and
transportation is explained. Furthermore, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for
crop surveillance and other favorable applications such as optimizing crop yield is
considered in this article. State-of-the-art IoT-based architectures and platforms
used in agriculture are also highlighted wherever suitable. Finally, based on this
thorough review, we identify current and future trends of IoT in agriculture and
highlight potential research challenges.

3. Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an evolving paradigm that seeks to connect
different smart physical components for multi-domain modernization. To
automatically manage and track agricultural lands with minimal human
intervention, numerous IoT-based frameworks have been introduced. This paper
presents a rigorous discussion on the major components, new technologies,
security issues, challenges and future trends involved in the agriculture domain.
An in-depth report on recent advancements has been covered in this paper. The
goal of this survey is to help potential researchers detect relevant IoT problems
and, based on the application requirements, adopt suitable technologies.
Furthermore, the significance of IoT and Data Analytics for smart agriculture has
been highlighted.

4. Abstract
The increasing global population demands improved production to provide
food in all sectors, especially in agriculture. Still, at certain periods, demand and
supply will not match. Managing and sustaining capital and manpower is still a
demanding challenge for improving agricultural production. Smart agriculture is a
better option for growing food production, resource management, and labour.
This research provides an overview of predictive analysis, Internet of Things (IoT)
devices with cloud management, security units for multi-culture in the agriculture
sector with considering farmer’s prior experiences. And also highlights the
challenges and complications expected while integrating modern technology in
the traditional farming practice experience. Based on the statistical and
quantitative approaches gives better revolutionary changes in the current
agriculture system. Besides, drone activation from IoT encounters crop status and
stages, irrigation, plant leaves diseases in the green field. The sensors are
activated for various purposes in IoT are discussed. Modern agriculture with
state-of-the-art IoT devices and concepts is the main objective of this research.
The systematic evaluation provides current and future trends in the agriculture
sector.

5. Abstract
The unprecedented growth of Internet of Things (IoT) and its applications
in areas such as Smart Agriculture compels the need to devise newer ways for
evaluating the quality of such applications. While existing models for application
quality focus on the quality experienced by the end-user (captured using likert
scale), IoT applications have minimal human involvement and rely on machine to
machine communication and analytics to drive decision via actuations. In this
paper, we first present a conceptual framework for the evaluation of IoT
application quality. Subsequently, we propose, develop and validate via empirical
evaluations a novel model for evaluating sensor data quality that is a key
component in assessing IoT application quality. We present an implementation of
the sensor data quality model and demonstrate how the IoT sensor data quality
can be integrated with a Smart Agriculture application. Results of experimental
evaluations conducted using data from a real-world testbed concludes the paper.
