I hope this letter finds you well. I am beyond excited to learn of your school’s opening for a high
school choir teacher. I feel that I am a great fit for the position because of my positive attitude
and my educational experiences. My musical experiences also have contributed to my success
and can contribute greatly to your school and your music department.

I have been singing in choirs for twelve years, and I have taken private lessons for six years.
Throughout my career, I have performed a variety of repertoire in different musical eras and
musical styles, and have been under the direction of some of the most experienced choral
directors in the United States. I feel that these experiences can help me better shape and mold
choral ensembles of my own. I have used the things I have learned from my experiences to help
assist students in their choral education and expand upon those ideas to learn and grow as an
educator myself.

As I have researched your school and learned about your mission and vision, I am confident that
I will be able to thrive under your leadership and the school’s values. I see your school as a place
where I can learn and grow. I strongly feel that I cannot stay stagnant in my teaching and be
good at what I do, so I have the strong desire to grow in your program as an educator.
