Activity 3

What are the benefits and possible pitfalls of having an official curriculum
prescribed to all schools?

It has the benefit of empowering educators with unique tools and goals for encouraging
innovation while also providing opportunities for the learners. Finding ways to engage
the students in learning is important since the curriculum would have to be entirely self-
sustaining and nothing is drawn from outside of it as for the reason is that students
learned from a well-designed and high-quality curriculum. And there are a lot of possible
pitfalls and this means it would be any technological advancement. Also, not every
place is the same. I do not believe it would work in a place with an already adequate
education. But that’s just the negatives. It would also have to be directed towards the
lowest common denominator, so as not to be ‘unfair’. So, in conclusion, what might
work in one place it should be completely applicable in both remote and urban areas.
That last sentence sums up everything with it.
