What are three strategies used by the service to minimise the risk of child abuse occurring within the service?
Skippy's Early Learning believes that all children have the right to a life that is free from harm. The centre provides an environment that
is free from any type of abuse and harm. Educators are aware of their obligations under the law and as per the Mandatory Reporter
Guide and at all time uphold these obligations, these also includes the Code of Conduct. Educators have regular training on child
protection issues to ensure that the service can act quickly in the best interests of a child of abuse.

The strategies are to:

Report any situation of reasonable suspicion that a child has suffered or is at risk of significant harm to the Nominated Supervisor.
Promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of children at the service.
Assist in supporting children and families when liasiing with relevant government agencies.

provider, nominated supervisors, co-ordinators and educators have an responsibility for supporting
the health, protection, safety and wellbeing of all children. In exercising their responsibilities, they
must take reasonable care to protect children from foreseeable risk of harm, injury and infection.
Management, educators and staff have responsibilities to identify and respond to every child at risk
of abuse or neglect, aware of the current child protection policies and procedures, and mandadtory
report reasonable suspicion of risk of harm to a child immediately to the Nominated Supervisors and
Child Safety.

policy/procedures)
Attach a copy of the policy and procedures and any other documentation that describes the responsibilities of the
