Preface Background The design of the structure plays a significant part in the energy consumption of the

structure which in turns influences the thermal comfort and energy effectiveness of the inhabitants( Li, 2020).
With adding attention on the thermal comfort and energy effectiveness in structures, heating, ventilation, and
air exertion have come veritably important( Zhuangbo Fang, 2019). The design and regulation of the inner
temperature requirements accurate vaticination of the tailwind patterns and distribution. This is achieved
through computational fluid dynamics( CFD) modelling as a risk. In recent times CFD has come a vital tool
for vaticination of temperature and air inflow distributions within a structure during structure design, with
multitudinous experimenters using CFD simulations as a means of prognosticating thermal geste ,
temperature uniformities, and air inflow patterns in domestic andnon-residential structures as part of the
design process( Mouneer, etal., 2022). The use of CFD ways in determining the position of heating and
cooling units becomes significant in design and optimization of energy-effective and comfort in a structure as
it enables the vaticination of air inflow patterns, temperature distributions, and thermal comfort situations
therefore allowing for the proper placement of heating and cooling units in the structure( Yin & Li, 2016).
Problem Statement The placement of heating, ventilation, and air exertion units in a structure have a pivotal
part when it comes to maintaining thermal comfort and energy effectiveness. once studies have explored the
optimization of HVAC system withnon-uniform tailwind and temperature distribution in a structure whereas
in this study, the optimization is to be done for both tailwind and temperature uniformity( Seri, etal., 2021).
This paper will explore the use of computational fluid dynamics software similar as Ansys Fluent to
determine the optimal places for the heating and cooling units in a naturally voiced structure, which wasn't
the main focus of the former work that has been and will be mentioned. It'll probe how tailwind patterns and
temperature distribution performing from the CFD simulations can be used to jut- point the stylish position to
put a heating or cooling unit in a structure to achieve thermal and temperature uniformity. Aim The main end
of the study is to determine the position of the heating or cooling units in structure that would results in
invariant temperature distribution and thermal comfort within a structure using CFD simulations. objects The
objects of the study are to examine how CFD can be used for the position of heating and cooling units in a
structure as part of the natural HVAC system of the structure, this is because a major factor in determining the
effectiveness and effectiveness of the HVAC system is the proper placement of heating and cooling units.
compass of Work A literature review that entails all the necessary information regarding the study is included
followed by the experimental set- up and procedure and the results. This will be followed by CFD modelling
and simulation. The results of the experimental results will be validated using the CFD results. also the
conclusions drawn from the results attained will be handed.
