Dear North Dakota Beef Commission,

Hello, my name is Claire Graner, and I am writing to you on behalf of both the NDSU and DSU
Rodeo Clubs. Both our clubs’ members compete in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo
Association in the Great Plains region. Throughout the year, we attend ten rodeos in hopes to
qualify for the National Finals held in Casper, WY every year. We travel to rodeos within our
region that include: BHSU, DSU, IACCC, IASU, MIDPLN, NDSU, SDSU, UWIRF, and UNE. That is 6
states and over 15,000 miles that our club members travel every year combined!

I am writing to you to propose a great opportunity for both the ND Beef Commission and the
two rodeo clubs that are in the state of North Dakota. We are looking for an organization to
sponsor two team trailers that our clubs can take to the rodeos throughout the school
semesters for many years to come. These trailers will also be parked in a highly visible spot
year-round near the NDSU and DSU campuses for others in the area to admire. Due to supply
chain shortages, we are asking for $90,000, which will be split between the clubs, to pay for the
trailer and the trailer wrap that would display both the team logos and the beef checkoff logo.
In the end, we will return the remaining amount of the donation back to the ND Beef
Commission.

Throughout both the NDSU and DSU Rodeo Clubs, there are many students that come from
ranching backgrounds and will continue their ranching careers after graduation. Many of these
students’ lives are impacted by the beef checkoff and would like to continue to promote beef
outside of their own ranch and we couldn’t think of a better organization to support the great
sport of rodeo.
