What does my browser do?

A web browser is software that allows users to access, view,

and interact with content on the World Wide Web. Its primary
function is to retrieve information from web servers and
display web pages and multimedia content, interpreting and
rendering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.

Some major web browsers as of my last update in January

2022 were:

Google Chrome: Known for its speed, simplicity, and extensive

support for web standards. It's developed by Google.

Mozilla Firefox: An open-source browser known for its privacy

features, customization options, and support for extensions.
Developed by Mozilla Foundation.

Safari: Developed by Apple, Safari is the default browser on

macOS and iOS devices. It's recognized for its speed and
integration with Apple's ecosystem.

Microsoft Edge: Developed by Microsoft, Edge is known for its

smooth performance, integration with Windows, and features
like built-in Cortana (Microsoft's virtual assistant).
Opera: Opera offers a range of unique features such as a built-
in ad blocker, VPN, and battery-saving mode. It focuses on
speed and user customization.

These browsers constantly evolve, introducing new features,

improving security, and enhancing performance to provide
users with better web browsing experiences.
