in the Philippines
What is a Professional Organization?
A Professional Organization is an essential platform since it
creates a network of opportunities among professionals of
the same field, supplementing its members with knowledge
and partaking in the advancement of the given profession. In
Medical Technology, there are two professional organizations
in the Philippines. These are none other than:

Philippine Association
of Medical
Technologists
PAMET was founded on September 15, 1963 through the initiative of the
Father of PAMET known as Crisanto G. Almario. Moreover, Charlemagne T.
Tamandong became the first president of the organization.

Established in 1970 with the goal to maintain the highest standards of Medical
Technology and Public Health education, PASMETH is the national organization
of all the recognized schools of Medical Technology and Public Health in the Logo details
Philippines. Circle - the continuity of learning and
never-ending quest for excellence in
PAMET and PASMETH are supported by Presidential Decree No. 223 (PD 223) and
the academic field
Republic Act 5527 (RA 5527) or the Philippine Medical Technology Act. This paved the
way for maintaining the excellence and high standards of the profession up until now. Diamond - the four corners represent
