NeSL eBG workflow

• Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG), initiated on CVC


recommendation, was launched in close
consultation with the Indian Banks' Association
(IBA).
• Substitute for paper-based bank guarantee which
can be e-stamped, e-signed, shared and retrieved
digitally.
• Will address many concerns such as better
monitoring with triggers for renewal, less risk of
forgery, faster procurement cycle and quicker
encashment of BG.

Current Status
✓Following Banks have launched eBG services

✓300+ eBGs are issued in favour of 125 unique Beneficiaries
✓8-10 Banks are in final stage of integration and will go live
very soon
✓Other Banks are in discussion; very soon will be onboarded

platform was made.
How to avail NESL e-BG services?
• Instructions to Applicant (Vendors/suppliers) by beneficiary
o Beneficiary should instruct its vendors/suppliers (e-BG applicants) that the
beneficiary is accepting electronic bank guarantee issued through NeSL.
o Share following details with Applicant and ask them to share with issuing Bank

Registration Process
Parties (Applicant / Beneficiary) are required to do one-time free online registration on
NeSL web-portal.
• Identify the User who will register your entity on NeSL
o User should have either digital signature (DSC) or his/her Aadhaar number should be linked with mobile
number, it is required for identification process.

• Arrange documentation
o You have to submit either Board Resolution or Authority letter stating that identified user is authorized to
register on NeSL platform and represent your entity
o Authority Letter should be duly signed by competent authority of your entity. You have provide Board
Resolution stating that competent authority is authorized by Board to delegate.

• Submit online registration request


o Visit NeSL website : https://nesl.co.in and go to registration page and follow the below steps
o Step 1: Identification of user (Digital Signature or Aadhaar OTP)
o Step 2: Entity details
o Step 3: additional details of user and documents upload
o Once request submitted, NeSL Operations team will process the request and you will receive the user
credentials over your email and SMS.
User Management
• Multiple users
o Entity can create multiple user on NeSL platform for an entity
o For all users Authority letter/ Board Resolution is required
o Users should have digital signature (DSC) or his/her Aadhaar number should be linked with
mobile number
o Edit/Delete the user details
o Number of user : No restriction

• Notification
o At present, NeSL system send notification /alerts to all the registered users of the entity.
o Beneficiaries who will integrate their ERP system through API, with 2-3 user they can manage.
