Ryan Cayabyab

Ryan Cayabyab is a prominent Filipino musician and the existing Executive and Artistic
Director of the San Miguel Foundation for the Performing Arts. His works vary from
specially made full-length ballets, theater musicals, choral pieces, a crowd set to
unaccompanied chorus, and orchestral pieces, to salable recordings of popular
composition, film scores and television specials.

Levi Celerio

was a Filipino composer and lyricist who is credited with writing over 4,000 songs.
Celerio was recognized as a National Artist of the Philippines for Music and Literature in
1997.
He is also known for using the leaf as a musical instrument which led to being
recognized as the "only man who could play music using a leaf" by the Guinness Book of
Records. This led to him making guest appearances on television shows recorded
outside the Philippines.

Nicanor Abelardo

Was a pianist and a composer know for Kundiman songs he wrote before the Second
World War. He is known for redefining the kundiman, bringing form to art-song status.
His kundiman songs proved to be popular among Filipino people, and his compositions
are regularly played in concerts in the Philippines.

Julio Nakpil

Julio Nakpil is the first Filipino composer of the 19th century with an almost complete
surviving catalog of music. He produced 41 works based on the count of musical
compositions written for piano, voice, chamber, band, and orchestra. Nakpil was
a Katipunero and a member of “La Liga Filipina,” an organization founded by Jose Rizal,
who influenced the musician’s political perspectives that were reflected in his works.
Nakpil’s life and times were encapsulated in his works Salve Patria, Pahimakas, Victory
March, and Sueno Eterno, which were all included in the fourth music recording of the
project.
