What is Morse Code?

Morse code is a way of communicating through


Dashes and dots. Here is an example for what a
word in English would look like in Morse code.
Example-The word ‘cake’ in English would be
called ‘-.-..--.-.’ in Morse code.
What was the Morse Code used
for?
Morse Code was used by the military to
communicate over large distances. It was sent
using flashes of light of a torch.
When was the Morse Code used
and who invented it?
The inventor of it was Samuel Morse.
In the 1890’s, Morse Code began to be used
extensively for early radio communication
before it was possible to transmit voice. In the
late 19th and early 20th centuries, most
high-speed international communication used
Morse Code on telegraph lines, undersea cables
and radio circuits.
Is the Morse code still used?

Morse Code is still widely recognized, even if it is


not as widely used as it once was.It is still popular
among amatuer longer a requirement to obtain
your amatuer radio license.
