Nb: “s” stands for count. 20s means 20 count. It is the unit for measuring the yarn fineness. 20s
stands for number of 20 hanks (20 * 840 yards) weigh 1 pound. So more the count thinner the
thread is. Cotton normally measured in this method.But silk and wool measured in denier. One
denier defines as the number of grams of yarn required to have 9 km length. As denier increases,
the thickness also increases.
