MGMT 2605: Working with Data

Data Visualization

Question 1: Visualize the York Neighbourhood

For this first question I had created a pie chart displaying the make-up of each neighbourhood in the York
region. From what I collected the largest was the Fredericton neighbourhood. This could be because just
by land area Fredericton is the largest.

Question 2: Expand your dashboard.

This is a screenshot of the dashboard I made showing a simple breakdown of all the data we have. This
could be used in multiple different ways. One example could be if you are an investor looking to start
your own Airbnb and what to know what makes the area makes the most sense. It also could help if your
someone looking to rent an Airbnb to find the best deal in that area.

Question 3: Identify top Hosts.

This displays the top three hosts in the area and how many reviews they each have. Moncton has the
most reviews out of the three this could mean people were most surprised and happy or not happy with
what Moncton Airbnb’s have to offer. Moncton has almost 18,000 reviews, Fredericton with around
11,500 reviews and finally Saint John with just over 9,000.

Question 4: Dig Deeper into the hosts.

This last visualization shows the three neighbourhoods with the highest number of reviews from the
graph on the last question. This part also shows the number of listing each neighbourhood has. Moncton
has by far the most listings at just under 5,000 which explains the great number of reviews.
