5 min Assign students into pairs for this one. They have to imagine that Warm up
they are on the concert or festival. Then give them 1–2 minutes to
discuss what they would wear. When they have finished, join in each
session room to check.

Ex.2 – read and listen to the text.
Ex.3 – give students 1 min to identify words in bold (static or
dynamic words).
Ex.4 – read and listen to the interview. Then go to the next part of
the exercise and assign students into teams for 3 min to decide
which underlined verb is dynamic or static.
Ex.5 – give students some time to complete the exercise, and then
check it by listening.
Ex.6 - Give Ss 1 minute to look at Jo's interview with Tom again and
find two verbs with both a dynamic and state meaning. Ask them to
compare their answers in pairs. Then elicit the verbs and the
differences in meaning and check.
Ex.7 – give students 1 min to write their own sentences in negative
or positive form appropriately.
