1. Disassembly

e. Remove OE secondary pulley/pressure regulator valve train and save
all components for reuse.
WARNING: When installed, the head of retaining pin for secondary pulley/pressure regulator
valve train stands proud of valve body casting (Figure 1). The retaining pin must be
removed prior to mounting casting on Sonnax VB-FIX to allow casting to sit flat on
fixture. Sonnax recommends removal of the complete secondary pulley/pressure
regulator valve train before mounting the casting on VB-FIX.

2. Bore Reaming
Ream primary pulley regulator valve bore (for reaming instructions/reamer care, please
visit www.sonnax.com). Sonnax reaming tool kit F-33741F-TL2 and VB-FIX are required
for this operation.

3. Installation & Assembly

a. Ensure all debris has been removed from reamed valve bore and body.
b. I nstall Sonnax primary pulley valve into reamed bore with spring pocket outboard.
c. Install OE primary pulley spring into primary pulley valve spring pocket.

4. Final Testing
Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated holds the recommended
minimum 14 and 18 in-Hg.
