What is your inquiry question that interests you for further research? It should be a question that connects with
a purpose, passion or personalized area of interest for you. This is a question that you cannot just google an
answer for. Please see examples from your Capstone booklet.
My inquiry question is:

own experiences with mental health?

Rationale/context: Detail your reasons for choosing this inquiry question. Explain WHY you are choosing to
investigate this topic as a major area of focus. How does this area of inquiry connect to your passion(s),
purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

Open and honest conversations about mental health are crucial for reducing the stigma around
mental illness and helps to gain an understanding of the challenges individuals with mental health
issues face. As I am passionate about psychology and how it can help to understand the mind, I see
this inquiry as an opportunity to reveal the multifaceted nature of mental health by talking to others
with different experiences with it.

project for evaluation. Write a one-page description outlining your proposal.

My mental health podcast aims to be an informative outlet about general mental health and
addresses the need for destigmatization and awareness of it in our society. By interviewing those
with adverse experiences with mental health and hearing their stories, I can contribute to online
conversations surrounding mental health. In order to promote healthy strategies for dealing with
mental health and ensure the content is accurate and evidence-based, I will conduct research on
coping strategies, treatment options and the societal impact on mental health. I plan to create a
series of podcast episodes that delve into different topics of mental health, according to what my
guest wants to cover in the episode based on their personal experiences. Each episode will provide
tips and tools for promoting well-being, which may include mindfulness exercises, self-help
techniques and resources for professional help. Lastly, I plan to monitor the engagement metrics
on my podcast’s YouTube channel, such as the number of views on my videos, any feedback or
comments from listeners and audience growth over time.

Resources/ Technology/Skills: Make an assessment of the resources, technology and skills you will
need to be able to complete this project. What is your plan to be able to access/learn all of the resources
necessary to achieve completion of this project? Detail your plans.

I will need access to two decent microphones and a camera. I will have to learn how to film and
sync the audio to a computer and edit the footage. I plan on learning this by watching video
tutorials on how to do this.

Mentors/Community Connections: What types of mentor(s)/community connections will you need to

help you complete your capstone project? How will your mentor(s) help you? What is your plan to access
the mentorship/community connections necessary for this project?

I will need to connect with the school counsellors on how I can raise awareness to certain topics
of mental health to my audiences and how to actively listen and respond to someone speaking
about their experiences.

Project limitations: What are some project limitations and potential obstacles that you foresee that might
affect progress with your Capstone Project?

Limitations may be deciding who would be a guest on my podcast and access to resources to
document the podcast.

2
Other considerations: List and detail any other related information/ considerations about your project
that you feel should be included in your project proposal.

Before every podcast I film with someone, we will have a conversation on what topics we want to
cover during the podcast and I will note some questions that I will want to ask them.

References: Provide a literature review of 5-10 PEER REVIEWED ACADEMIC references: research,
videos, etc. that offer some preliminary research you have done for your project that shows you are able
to access the key information that you will need to be able to complete this project/work. Your list should
be written using correct APA formatting.
