Canada Day Challenge

Good morning everybody,

Today, we want to show you our poster for the Canada Day Challenge. We have chosen 8 (eight)
photos that well represent Canada.

The first one is the Maple leaf. It’s the most important symbol because it’s on the Canada’s flag.
It’s represents nature and environment.
We chose this symbol because it is the most related symbol to Canada.

Here we see the beaver. It’s also an important symbol of Canada. Like the Maple leaf, it is an official
emblem of the country. It is the official mascot of the Olympic games in Canada.
It’s also represented on some coins. The beaver is so famous because it helped the development of
the country thanks to its expensive fur.

Here are the pancakes. Canadians eat pancakes with Maple syrup and sometimes with butter or jam
instead of syrup. It is one of the most famous breakfast in Canada.
It is one of the Canadian specialties.

This photo shows natives in there traditional clothes. The Natives were in Canada before the French
and English colonizations. They are divided into 3 (three) peoples : Inuit, First Nations and Métis.
They are 1 600 000 (one million six hundred thousand) in Canada.
On June 21 (twenty first), there is the National Aboriginal Day.
We chose this photo because it represents one of Canada's greatest riches:
The conservation of natural environments.

Here are two wonderful landscapes of National parks of Canada. There are 42 (fourtytwo) in Canada
and this one is the Banff National park. There are all so beautiful. You can see trees, lakes, snow
capped mountains. There are a lot of birds, fishes, bears and so on...

Here we can see the CN Tower, the tallest tower in Canada and a part of the city of Toronto. This
tower is 553 (five hundred fifty three) meters high. When the night falls, the tower lights up.

Here, we can see the two most popular sports in Canada : Lacross and Ice Hockey. Canadians play
Lacross in summer and Ice Hockey during the winter. Lacross is a sport of Native American origin,
while ice hockey is a much more recent sport. Unlike ice hockey, Lacross is famous in Canada and the
United States only.

Canada is a country where different cultures and religions are mixed but they are all respected.
Thanks to this mix of cultures, there are many unusual dishes in some places and museums that tell
the story of Canada.
It is therefore a country with a great cultural and historical wealth and which includes a lot of natural
environments.

Thanks for your attention. We hope now that you would like to go to Canada.
