Internship offer (6 month)

„ Design of algorithms for real-time applications“
Bosch is the largest supplier of automotive technology, and one of Germany’s largest industrial
enterprises, with a significant international presence.
The “Control engineering” group at Robert Bosch GmbH, Corporate Research is an international team of
highly motivated scientists. Our task is to explore, evaluate and develop new concepts, methods and
applications for the design of Mechatronic Systems in cooperation with Robert Bosch Product Divisions.
The company provides excellent personal perspectives.
Your Task: Design of real-time algorithms for the ECU (Electronic Control Unit).
The aim of this internship is to study different algorithms and to develop a real-time capable implementation
of them in the field of digital signal processing, system identification.
In particular:
- Study of FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and digital filters and their development for a real-time
capable mathematical library for embedded systems
- Study of different algorithms in the context of algebra with application to system identification and
machine learning (clustering/classification) (e.g Zeros of polynomials, QR with constraints, fast
Givens, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD))

Requirements: You are a student of computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering or
electrical engineering at a university or an engineer school.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding of Control Engineering concepts and practices.
- You are able to think conceptually and express ideas clearly, convincingly and concisely, verbally
