Welcome to the English Academy for Newcomers!

To complete the B2 module successfully, students need to close the trimester with
a minimum GPA (grade point average) of 60/100. They will, then, receive a
certificate of successful completion, and have the possibility to continue to the
next level.

The percentage scores that make up for the final score are as follows:
● 10% Vocabulary and Grammar Reviews (Units 1-2 and Units 5-6)
● 20% Midterm Exam (Units 1-4)
● 60% Final Exam (Units 1-8)
● 10% Classroom Participation
Exams are expected to include, at least:
● Speaking
● Writing
● Listening
● Reading
Goals for this B2 Module

By the time that this course finishes, students will:

● Have an increased confidence in using English

● Have learned a lot of useful words and phrases that
make it easier for them to express themselves when
speaking and writing
● Find talking about and understanding abstract ideas
and information more accessible
● Understand much more of the English they read and
hear
