This group activity will be based on the article that you chose for your Journal Club Presentation.
With this assignment, you will begin to demonstrate the ability to identify research questions in
published articles and to review and evaluate literature reviews.

 Read your group’s chosen article.

 Consider your answers to the questions below and discuss with your group.
 Complete the assignment, using this Word file as a worksheet. Type your answers
directly on this sheet.

1. Research Questions in Published Articles

1.1 What was the research question in this article (as written by the authors)?

1.2 Re-write the research question, formulating it as a PICO question. Identify the (P), (I), and (O)
elements in your question. If the research question includes the (C) or (T), identify that as well.

1.3. Were all of the required elements for the PICO question apparent in the article? Provide rationale
for your response.

2. Critique the Literature Review (refer to Chapter 6).
