Material selection
Since the pen stand needs to be strong, durable and
lightweight, Thermosetting Plastic is used.
Plastic is the most popular material used for 3D printing.
Thermoplastics are high strength, lightweight materials and
have relatively low processing costs. Additionally,
thermoplastic components are relatively easy to manufacture
with high volume and precision.

Design considerations
- Avoiding any sharp corners.
- Pen stand should hold enough pens in the interior and have a thin wall.
- Avoid large flat surfaces and add rounded corners to the 3d model, to prevent warping.
- For 3d printing, thickness greater than 0.8 mm can be printed successfully.
- Avoid overhangs in your design, when possible, by using angles smaller than 45o
