An Inconvenient Truth: A Reaction Paper

The documentary, "An Inconvenient truth" was premiered at the Sundance

Festival in 2006 which was held at the Sundance, Utah. It covers the current state of the
country as it progresses with several developments, especially in terms of technology. In
this documentary it goes in depth about how global warming was caused and how it
affected the world over time. Al Gore describes and discusses over the documentary
the science behind the environment changes and issues. The specifics of the statistics
helped to carry the documentary to deliver their message to the people. Moreover, it
was able to outline numbered effects and causes of climate change, global warming
and the environment changes.

Indeed, this documentary opened my eyes to what is really going on and how us,
human beings can act. Through the visual representation, I was inspired by the
documentary to reflect upon what the world is facing in the present time as human
interaction cannot be missed in the documentary as this is one of the common reasons
for environment disruption. The film focuses on the action each one of us should take,
especially this could eventually affect our future and the coming generations.

Being a global citizen, we have the social responsibility to be the ones who take
the act and be an advocate of change not only in some aspects but in almost all
especially the environmental aspect. As an active citizen, it is our task to be voice and
act out. With actions that have affected the environment over time, I believe that these
actions can be changed and help with the sustainability of the environment in terms of
clean water, clean air, and surroundings. As reflected with the film, it aims to change
with action. It is an initiative by and with the people of the world, not only scientists but
everyone who is a part of this world.
This documentary helps an amount of people to change their perspective of the
environment or the world because it sheds light upon the climate change and global
warming that have affected the drought, typhoon, extreme heat waves, and such. It has
affected not just a person but everyone. As I go through the documentary, I must say
that it is something to take seriously as this could widely increase to a more dangerous
level. This has discussed what the world has been over time with the inspiration from
the Vice President Al Gore who was an active advocate of protecting the environment.
Personally, I would say the documentary was an effective way to explain in depth on
how human activities and certain man made structures have led to environmental
issues.
