Section A Reading (10 marks )
This section has 12 questions. Attempt a total of 10 questions as per specific instructions for each
Section B - Writing and Grammar (10 marks )
Writing- Attempt any one Formal letter/Analytical Paragraph
Grammar- Attempt questions as per specific instructions for each.
Section C- Literature (20 marks)
Answer any 6 questions in 30-40 words (12 marks)
Answer any 2 in about 120 words (8 marks)

question.
4. Section C consists of 4 questions of 4 marks each. An internal choice has been provided in one
question. It contains two case study based questions
5. There is no negative marking.

Question Paper pattern: Total marks - 40 (Subjective Paper)

The Question Paper contains five sections.


1. Section-A: Question no. 1 to 5 are very short answer type questions of 2 marks each.
Answers to each question should not exceed 40 words.
2. Section-B: Question no. 6 to 8 are short answer type questions, carrying 3 marks each.
Answers to each question should not exceed 80 words.
3. Section-C: Question no. 9 and 10 are long answer type questions, carrying 5 marks each.
Answers to each question should not exceed 120 words.
4. Section-D: Question no. 11 and 12 are Case Based questions.
5. Section-E: Question no. 13 is map based, carrying 3 marks with two parts, 13.1 from
History (1 mark) and 13.2 from Geography (2 marks).
